..If you have "a lot of data" to save, your character's gonna be in that position for quite some time~

Pokemon Diamond/Pearl had okay load times, but Pokemon Platinum was atrocious. It took like, 30 seconds for that game to save. Diamond/Pearl was near instant. You'd think an upgraded version would fix the save times, but nope

Yeah that was annoying. "a lot of data" effectively translates to "you looked at your PC, prepare to wait".
Generation V was nice to introduce a little save meter, come Gen VI and it's done in a split second, PC or not.
