ther is no secret really, I make gas giants in 3D, so the rings are basically one really squashed cyllinder with high resolution texture

Very eye catching. I remember thinking of doing something like but from a directly overhead view. But this angle is more dynamic. The planet being covered in lava is an interesting touch and adds a nice colour contrast to the teal colour of everything else
