Description Eh, don't hate the coloring... much. Played around with it but I have a cold and am too grouchy to do anything else to it. *grumbles about the unfairness of colds*

Sos... this is a random illustration to my wayward monster of a HP fanfic Awakening To the Dream They aren't exactly how I envisioned them, I really see them in a more realistic look, but I was in an anime-ish style at the time sos... yeah. I'm thinking of doing a more realistic version of them in their soul forms... but I'm lazy. ^^


Edit: Only took me a few months short of a year to finally fix this baby up. I'm hesitant to say (because I fear jinxing myself, and it was rather whirlwind) but it looks like these cuties are making their way into an Iris Print calendar. *crosses fingers* Who'd da thunk? @_@

Poor Lesley's hair... I know it's blue but I'm not sure of anything else... exact length and stuff. Maybe I missed it... I'd also like to know if Christien is taller or shorter than Lesley. I think I might remember that being mentioned but I'm not positive.

I haven’t gotten to read past these scenes yet, but it’s so good already! I love Draco’s letter and the bag of goodies. Also, I am madly in love with Christien and Lesley! I forbid you to kill them. I’ll… I’ll give you money!!! lol! Just please don’t kill them… It’s just that some people create tragedy that way… but I don’t want you to! *sob* Haha, watch me run ahead to conclusions without proof. Just me being a worry-wart. Holy crap. Holy in so many ways not including crap at all.... OMG I think I’m going to die. You see, every possible second I’ve had free I've been reading Awakening to the Dream. Eventually my parents got sick of it so they cut the internet to my computer, but all was well. I got on my mum's computer when she was out and downloaded each chapter onto a floppy and loaded it to my computer... it crashed the first time when I tried to put all the chapters in at once... big document. I'm on chapter 42 now... anyway, I am so impressed it's beyond belief! Well, if anyone besides me has a hint of a right mind than I'm sure you can believe me. It is without a doubt the best fan fiction I've ever read. Not just for Harry Potter, I mean in my entire life. You incorporate an endless supply of original characters and settings, which is normally hard to get readers interested in. You pulled it off! I love every moment of the story, and every character I meet. My favorite of your original characters are Yehl, Lesley and Christien. I hope good comes to them… Will or have you done any picture of them? I hope I didn’t overlook a picture of one of them in your gallery… Which happens upon the point of my comment… I didn’t know you were on DeviantArt! I didn’t know you were an artist... an exceptional one at that! This picture cures my curiosity to no end! I did some crappy fan art of Harry and Draco in their Soul Forms… I haven’t finished Harry yet… all of them darn feathers! Well, for one, thank you. And two, I can't believe a word of it! XD I'm so new to this whole writing thing, I think it'll be a while till I can see ATtD in the same light as you. (It's the same with drawing; it took me years before I felt any bit of confidence with my art... but I'm a spaz anyways.) I am having a hell of a fun time writing it though. It's taken on a life of its own, and amazes me to no end as more and more pages go by and I'm able to create with words this new amazing world and characters... and, you know, people actually liking it too. That really surprises me. I'm stupid probably, in that way, since I tend to go gaga over a good fanfic too. I just wanted to make a story that I'd want to read when looking for HP fanfics... and put wings on them. XD It took me forever just to get the nerve to post it; I had never intentioned to let anyone see it. Sos, glad I did now since it's helped inspire me to continue it and improve as a writer. ^^

I'm really honored my fic has had such an impact on you. I love the Draco pic and am sure I'll love the Harry one too. I eventually want to do a more realistic version of the two in their Soul Forms but, although the actors are teh cuteness and all, I really don't want my characters to look like them either. Dunno, I suppose the actors are recognizable because of their parts... but I hate to see a book character have a recognizable face. Characters should be forever different from each person who has read, perceived, and then put them on paper, I think... but I'm rambling. ^^

Let's see, I haven't posted any art of my original characters from ATtD yet, but I do plan on it eventually. I figured I'd do like an illustration or two for each chapter just for fun, that way people could have a visual and I can practice drawing. Here are the first two if you haven't seen them yet.

I've actually asked those on my mailing list to give me suggestions on which scene they'd like to see drawn later on. Ideas are always appreciated. Oh, and if you email at VoxFuriae@aol.com you can get on my mailing list because it does take a while for me to get to posting new chapters. More so right now since my laptop is in the shop to get a new hard-drive. =_= Crazy month recently for me.

*huggles* It's great to meet you here too, and thanks greatly for the sweetness and enthusiasm. I was in one of my depression funks the past few days and I think you kicked me out into a more cheerful mood. Really, I'm glad you like the story so much and hope it continues as I keep writing it.

I'm astonished that you feel so new at writing... the story flows so well! Haha... putting wings on them. ^_^ its fun to put a fantasy into a fanfic and have people like it. some fanfics are these awful windows into the disturbing ideas people write down without wondering if it will scar others.. i recently read something where harry turns into a lusty cat and goes after the human lupin... i dont think i'll ever be the same. >_<
That makes so much sense... "I hate to see a book character have a recognizable face"... i always imagine everyone looking more bishy than they do in the movie.

Yeah, I'm good now. The sniffles went away after three days... I still have a lovely, hacking cough though... yay. At least I caught it after the whole singing thing.

Gald you like it, it was a pain. I had to go over all the lines and, ugh, just wasn't prepared for the amount of work that was needed. Some pics I don't mind, but others I just don't have the drive for.

I think I got the cold from someone in choir. I had my throat burning for a week after Christmas and I thought it was going away but then New Years came along and my nose exploded.

...Not literally. >_>

But it's gone now. ~does happy, all the sniffles are gone, dance~ It's a funny dance, even funnier since I can't dance. Love and hugs.

Why would you be bummed by basketball practice? If you don't like it, I imagine you shouldn't do it. O_o My parents pushed me into gymnastics for many of my small years until I was quite clear to them that I was over it. ^^

Hmm... well it was a span of three days, coloring wise, but with work and everything... probably around 18-20 hours total. The lineart was fast, a couple hours at work to sketch and I inked it that night.

Trust me, I'm sure you can. It's taken me ages to be able to look at my work and not cringe. Just lots of practice and studying up on problem areas.
