Joy: So, we heard that Whitty and his mod are finally back after being deleted due to controversies. Are you surprised? I certainly was when I heard the news, because I didn't think Whitty's original mod would ever return. After all, its creator, SockClip, left the FNF community due to all the harassment she got, and the last mod Whitty officially appeared in was The Date Week, which was supposed to bring a good ending to his story. But on the other hand, Jamie was really excited because he had been waiting for the day when Whitty and his mod would return at long last, and now it happened.

Jamie: You have no idea how ecstatic I was when I heard that Whitty has come back. It must mean that despite the controversy his mod had with the Tabi mod, it had a lot of good feedback and was supported enough for the developers to bring it back. I'm just so, so happy to see Whitty again after he's been gone for so many months. His mod's return was perfect timing, too, as it was re-released on its first anniversary, February 1st, which is the day it first got released to the public until it got deleted a few months later. Not only is the mod back up on GameBanana and can be downloaded to play again, but there's also a new version of the mod that its co-creator, NateAnim8, is currently working on. It's called Vs. Whitty: The Definitive Edition, and it features a full port of the original to the Psych Engine, plus new visual effects and a redone version of "Ballistic". More content for the mod will be released on February 15, just a day after Valentine's Day. Isn't that amazing or what?

Joy: One of the most interesting things about the new Definitive Edition of Whitty's mod is that there's a new character that you can unlock. His name is Julian T. Whitmore, and his songs are remixes of Whitty's songs. He kind of resembles a human version of Whitty since he wears very similar clothing, has a similar-sounding voice, and has an aesthetic that's similar to Whitty's (he has orange eyes and long hair in a ponytail, which supposedly resembles Whitty's fuse), so at first you might think he really is Whitty as a human, but that's not true. He was originally supposed to be a reimagined version of Whitty, sort of like "What if Whitty was a human instead of a living bomb?", but it seems as the development of the character continued, Julian became his own entity and completely separated from Whitty. Basically, Julian is like Aldryx Andromeda from the A.G.O.T.I. mod. He was supposed to replace Whitty, but once things calmed down around the characters and creator, the original Whitty came back and Julian was made into a new character. I guess that kinda explains why Julian looks and sounds so similar to Whitty.

Jamie: Since Julian bears such a striking resemblance to Whitty, this led to us imagining another scenario where two characters that share similar traits with each other square off in a rap battle using the song "Copy Cat", just like we did with Chris and Garcello. In this case, Whitty and Carol somehow run into Julian, who immediately recognizes Whitty because he looks and sounds like him, accusing the living bomb for copying his style, even though neither Whitty nor Carol know what he's talking about. This leads to Julian challenging Whitty to a rap battle to see who is better than who. Obviously, Carol is on Whitty's side, which is why she's sitting in the speakers to cheer her boyfriend on. I might imagine that this might take place some time after The Date Week, where Carol and Whitty's relationship is fully cemented.

Joy: A little headcanon we came up with is that since Whitty is 20% human and 80% something else, his human DNA probably came from Julian. That might explain why they share similar features and traits. Our guess is that somehow the scientists who created Whitty brought Julian to their lab and managed to get a sample of his DNA, which they implanted into the doomsday device they were working on at the time. Another theory we have is that even though Whitty's name is short for Whitmore, it might have came from Julian's last name, which is, well, Whitmore. Supposedly, when Julian was working as a guinea pig in the lab, he had to wear a name tag so that the scientists wouldn't forget what his name was. When the scientists were done collecting his DNA so they could add it to their doomsday device, Julian decided he didn't need his name tag anymore, so he took it off and threw it away before he left the lab. But as soon as he left, the scientists didn't notice his name tag lying around, and one of them accidentally stepped on it, messing up some of the marker ink that was used to write Julian's name on the tag. This resulted in Julian's first name being smudged up, but his last name was still intact. So, when Whitty was created and first saw the name tag, he didn't know what the smudged-up word next to "Whitmore" was supposed to be, so he erased it with his thumb. He claimed "Whitmore" as his name, which was eventually shortened to "Whitty". Soon, when Whitty became a rising rock star, Julian noticed that the living bomb looked almost like him, and sounded like him, too. He thought to himself, "Whoever this dude is, he must be copying my style." That's why he's decided to rap battle Whitty now that they've finally met face-to-face. Whitty doesn't know that some of his DNA came from Julian yet, but luckily he'll be able to show him that he's definitely not an imposter of sorts.

Jamie: We sure hope one of our favorite FNF remixers (like Blantados, BakedBread64, Chxwy, or Neonight) makes a cover of "Copy Cat" based on this little pic, because that would be just so cool. Not to mention it would be a great way to welcome Whitty back after being gone for so long. What do you think?
