While I was gone over my week long vacation I had some time to daydream about what a good Super Smash Bros. game on the DS would be like.From what I worked on, it looks a little more straightforward like a Brawl port of sorts, but it could still be used to make something a little more unique.
I figure that like Mario Kart Super Circuit and DS, it would contain a multiplayer for 1P mode ("Versus Mode") along with some extra features, like minigames (like Super Mario 64 DS) and whatnot. I don't think the Adventure Mode could be quite as extensive as Brawl's, given the limited amount of space on a Game Card as to a Wii disc.
Screens should be fairly accurate size thanks to a DS emulator I have.
's Mario, Link, Kirby and Pikachu sprites are used for demonstration only.

Aside from the font type and the few sprites I credited elsewhere, yeah. Everything was made from scratch.

this is really nice, and designed well, what with the decisions on which screen displays what. I would love a SSB game for the DS.

I'm still trying to figure out how Tourney Mode (the main grid screen) would work, though...
