it says 'Advanced Critique Encouraged' so i will do my best with that. i like the fact that you have done water in the background rather than land like everyone else has done, that sets yours apart from the rest which, in my opinion, is an advantage.
however - first i'll point out that there are some random white patches in the sky that you haven't coloured, for example around the feathers on the birds' wings. also, you really need to work on your shading. this picture is somewhat bland, the water, for example, has no movement or shine to it at all. the metal/chrome parts on the bike don't have enough curve, shine, definition or contrast. study motorbikes, their metal/chrome parts are always shiny and never dull - you haven't portrayed that well here.
the shading on the guy's skin is a bit strange, it's too desaturated and should have more colour. also the clothes could have both darker shading and lighter highlights, it's a little bit plain.
as i've said to some others in this competition, whatever the sun is doing is not just reflected in the sky, but also in the shading. the sky is pink near the bottom - why doesn't the water have a pinkish glow to it as well? also with the rocks, the bike and the character, and the birds.
last point, where is your light source? judging by the shading, it's hard to tell. i like the effort you've made with this picture but you do need to work on a few things. i hope my comment can help you in some way
