Showing off her predatory hunting skills, a female Common Kingfisher (Alcedo atthis) lands on the perch with her catch, a small fish, barely moments after diving into the water.These kingfishers are accomplished hunters and are able to see prey and even dive up to depths of 1m below the water surface, though most of the time they prefer to catch their prey in shallower waters (thru my personal observation). They are able to do so at such a speed that if you just blink, you'll miss it!

Love all the details the droplets on his/her's chest and the tiny little fish, and the background goes very well with the birds amazing colours!
