This one's for 's DragonBall Goku re-imagine challenge . I basically just drew him in a more traditional western animation style. I was a big fan of the show back when I was in high school, so it was nice to revisit that for a little while.Check out the challenge:

Nice Western animation interpretation of Goku. The way you designed his physique is reminiscent of Superman's body type. Overall, it's very smooth, simple, and straight to the point.

It's real good. The story line is done extremely well. It reminds me much of Justice League and Justice Leage Unlimited.

yup, yup, planet hulk was much better than i anticipated, and the owl from crisis was killer, an alternate universe and all but batman's counterpart still kicks serious bootay!

Absolutely! If the GL live action movie is half that good, I'll crap my pants. The character designs were awesome, too. I love that segmented look that the costumes have, like the green part is some kind of rigid armor. Very cool.

I totally agree, as long as they get a good actor for Hal, someone with depth, not a monotonous guy like the actor who played duke in gi joe.
I can't wait to see how they do kilowogg.

Ryan Reynolds is Hal Jordan, Mark Strong is Sinestro. Not bad, right? Check this [link] out. The site is in Spanish, but there's a photo gallery on the right side that has some on set photos, and some of the concept art (including art for Kilowog is toward the back. Reynolds looks like he's wearing one of those jumpsuits with the little nerf balls on it, so I'm guessing his GL costume is going to be CG.

aww sweet thanks for the link, i thought ryan would make a better flash than green lantern, just because of the humor he puts into the roles he plays, but I guess given the choice G L is a good way to go. Kilowog looks awesome, strong as sinestro will be interesting, i wounder if he'll get the yellow ring in this movie? he should right?

I would have preferred him as Flash, too (especially with David Goyer directing), but I'll take him as GL, too. I'd assume that Sinestro gets his ring by the end of the movie, but who knows? I just hope the suits look pretty cool.

me too, though I find I like most iterations, though adapting them to reality who knows what might plop out. one good thing, we shouldn't have to worry about rubber nipples, batman and robin showed that was a definite comic to movie don't! hahaha.
