I really like the black and white character of this photography. It gives the picture a nostalgical touch, also a touch of love and innocence - as a rose is the flower of love and white the colour of purity/innocence. The white colour of the rose sticks out dominantly from her protecting leaves, that are in dark colour. So light vanquishes darkness. The leaves at the bottom also give the rose some hold/shelter/protection. It is a very comforting and hopeful photography and not only a simple rose, I feel. The dark background points the rose out more. Good choice! I guess that at the right bottom of the background the blurred forms are maybe other roses and that really makes the single one to a queen.
There is one disturbing thing in the photography at the right upper corner: A light source, so dominantly, that it slightly spoil the scene. I do not know where it comes from - the lense, the light refraction. Perhaps you could have removed it by photoshop, if you have a photo editing system. But I am only amateur and could not give as many tips as I would like. Hope you do not mind.
Overall, it is a photography masterpiece. Keep up that great work!
