The Two Realms you see here are “Takamagahara” Heaven home of the Shinto Gods and “Yomi” Realm of the dead.

Kami are gods/spirits who take the form of things and concepts important to life, such as wind, rain, mountains, trees, rivers and fertility. Humans become kami after they die and are revered by their families as ancestral kami. The kami of extraordinary people are even enshrined at some shrines. The Sun Goddess Amaterasu is considered Shinto's most important kami. Sometimes there can be Ancestral Kami who watch over familys and clans.

Sometimes Kami often like to be imaginary friends to children and protect familys.

There are four affirmations in Shinto: tradition and family, love of nature, physical cleanliness, and matsuri (festivals in which worship and honor is given to the kami). The family is seen as the main mechanism in preserving traditions.

Taka is the home of the Heavenly Kami “Like Amaterasu”. It has golden Japanese buildings, pottery, and weaving. It is also has the ability to connect to Earth.

The two Gods Izanami and Izanagi helped with creating the pantheon, but Izanami died after giving birth to the fire god. Izanagi traveled to Yomi, which was a dark place, Izanami ate some of the food of the realm which means she was stuck there.

Izanagi and his wife made a plan to escape Yomi, but Izanami told her husband to not look at her. Izanami looked at her dead rotting body. Izanagi ran out of fear. Infuriated Izanami sent demons after him. When Izanagi escaped Yomi, he sealed the enterance with a large boulder and Izanami said that If he left her, she would kill 1,000 souls a day. Izanagi said he would Create 1,500 children a day.

Now We get to Yomi, the realm of the dead and Yokai. It is a dark realm so bring a lantern. Its similar to Hades inwhich its like hell and Heaven. Demons punish the sinners and others live better. Unlike the Judaism Hell The punishment here is only temporary depending on severe were the sins. is Its ruled by Izanami and Susanno. It has kami and Yokai. What are Yokai, well they are not quite like demons, but they are spirits and entities, whose behaviour can range from malevolent or mischievous to friendly, fortuitous, or helpful to humans.

Yōkai often have animal features (such as the kappa, depicted as appearing similar to a turtle, and the tengu, commonly depicted with wings), but may also appear humanoid in appearance, such as the kuchisake-onna.

Some yōkai resemble inanimate objects (such as the tsukumogami), while others have no discernible shape. Yōkai are typically described as having spiritual or supernatural abilities, with shapeshifting being the most common trait associated with them. Yōkai that shapeshift are known as bakemono (化け物) or obake (お化け). And there are some quite recognizable like the Powerful Oni.

Well, there buildings built by friendly Yokai, to make friends with the souls. The technology would be Medieval or ancient.

The citys here are very brightly lit, to ward off monsters. And there is alot of superstitions here.
