I gonna shot some more basic tutorials in the future, in few quick steps.

download for big size tutorial

----------------
Version en español
----------------

1.-Sktech Rapido

allright so everyone is talking about the definition of crticism... the simlpe fact is i love your work. i think its amazing and i will be waiting anxiousley for any more tutorials you might post. hell, do a tutorial about how to actually draw wet rubber and ill probably love that too. i know im not the only one.... p.s. just i was wondering about step 3 and 4... overly/multiply layer mode and "bump" with dodge. could you elaborate. i see these terms a lot but havent figured it out yet

Suriel83 In reply to loki909 [2009-11-21 01:06:22 +0000 UTC]

Create a new layer on top of your color layer. On your layers panel, click the drop tab and change it to overlay, so that it will sit "over" the color layer without changing opacity or fill.

As for bump with dodge, what he means is to choose the dodge tool and "bump" the shadows or the hightlights. Some people use the smudge tool as well.

saber donde poner las sombras y las luces es muy importante, mas aun, quizas, conocer la forma del cuerpo humano, y en tu caso, es se nota que sabes.

This is very much appreciated. I'm really just learning how to draw digitally, and I've learned quite a bit, but still but a tadpole. @ some point in the future I'll upgrade to Corel or Photoshop, but for now GIMP is actually very powerful, albeit it takes time to learn the ropes.

Like the others have said, the knowledge on light and shadow is very well in effect. It's defintely one of the most important aspects of a picture, especially one going for any sort of realism. I look very much forward to more of these; folks like myself can learn a lot about how to do things properly. Later.
