Description
A quick tutorial done in 5 minutes for a friend (5 on the draw paint, 5 on the the writing
)/ Music: Black coffee - Cowboy bebop OST [link]
Just 4 steps, to render in B&W using just 1 layer. I hope this could be of a little help
I gonna shot some more basic tutorials in the future, in few quick steps.

1.-Sktech Rapido
2.-Añadir luces, el color blanco no esta admitido en esta parte del proceso
3.- añadir texturas, puedes hacerlo con brushes o con una textura en un layer con modo overlay o multiply. Unificar y suavizar los brochazos
4.-Seleccionar el area y añadir sombras con el airbrush, despues añadir fuentes de luces y voila
, darle un ligero bump con dodge a las areas iluminadas.

The people in this thread are acting like idiots by calling you a troll. Whether you are or not does not matter. I see where you are coming from, and I respect that you attempted to actually give critizism unlike many people on here. Some think it's an insult though... because it's obviously a stylistic choice and he wants it to look that way, and you may have insulted by using that vocabulary to describe it.
I think you could've said it differently, but I think it was a good thing to do. People take it far too seriously, and it's always good to at least try and help artists go farther in their work ethic.

Criticism is criticism... But complaining about someones own style (and i have never met any style that is similar to his) is just not qiuet right... His coloring is great, and the only thing you can criticise here is may be anatomy, but i dont see anything with that not on this pic...

Sir, what you say is just wrong.
Even if it's a fact she's just nothing special and unoriginal, so what? That doesn't say a thing about how much art she has seen (nor does her gallery, why should someone copy every style or fave every artwork that one has seen?). The truth is that is actually IS his style, BUT there may be many others with the same style. And having a certain style doesn't make your work automatically uninteresting. It is mostly the idea's you have, not the way you draw them what makes something original.
And what is wrong with being a fan? I'm a fan of skilful and original artwork, I absolutely adore good drawings. It's not much of a difference to like a certain subject (like anime). If you take a look at my gallery, you won't be able to find more than one "artwork" drawn in anime-style. My favourites don't contain much manga-ish artworks, and the few that could be categorized as manga are added because of the artwork or the originality. Still I like to read manga and watch anime, I love it. You can't place people in categories by watching their dA-account, so you don't have the right to tell her she has no right to utter her opinion about art-styles.
And the last thing, what do you want to accomplish by saying "The judges of life wont be impressed at your manga collections or anime drawings im afraid"?

There are stereotypes and generalisations that can be associated with anime and the people who watch it. And this is because, for most of the time, they are true. You apparently have appreciation for things other than anime (even if you like to whiteknight) so kudos to you.
