Description
Canadian Rockies, on the way to Jasper."See the mountains kiss high Heaven
And the waves clasp one another;
No sister-flower would be forgiven
If it disdained its brother;
And the sunlight clasps the earth
And the moonbeams kiss the sea..."
from "Love's Philosophy" by Percy Bysshe Shelley

Ahh, this is one magnificent picture. This is a picture I can look at whenever I feel stress or exhausted after a long day of school and/or work. I love this one. Really awesome, Gerald.

You wouldn't probably swim for long. This is glacial water that comes directly from a huge glacier. That's what lends the rather odd milky blue-green color. And you'd freeze your toes off if you stayed in that water very long! Thanks of looking and ing.

When you're done with the alps in Europe, take a flight to Calgary in Alberta, Canada and drive into the Canadian Rockies. You won't be sorry. And thanks for the comments and the s!

I live in Australia, I'm surrounded by water Just not normally so closely. I don't think I could live somewhere landlocked.

Hi Sammy. You'd be amazed at the colors of the lakes in the Alberta Rockies. Since the water is glacial, the color often runs toward this astonishing hue of azure. Thanks for looking at this one!

I'll bet people in the Rockies would really envy the muddy hues of the Ohio.
best not to even tell them about it I suppose...no sense making them all jealous.
