Description
This started out as a test, but became full personal project. Made this entirely in Illustrator, with some help with Photoshop. I decided to make a DevID that looked like it could pass as a CD cover, complete with a tile that's supposed to arouse up some faux deeper meaning that isn't really there...
.As with the test, I was really inspired by, Tron: Legacy (If you already couldn't tell.), and Daft Punk with their AWESOME Helmets.
P.S. That squiggly thing at the bottom left and everywhere else, that's my insignia.
P.P.S. The Speakers were also made in Illustrator and Font isn't mine.

I don't know as much about graphic design as some of my friends do, but I've picked up a few things. The interior teal border kind of cramps the text and base image, it makes it feel more like a gaudy picture frame as opposed to the kind of stark, stylish design Tron is known for (and I'm assuming your imitating for effect), I'd suggest either dropping it and leaving it black to go with the outer bright blue border, it will help the character portion and the text around it breathe and get the attention it deserves. If you're attached to the interior border, maybe you could try some black piping?
The only other thing is the largest insignia at the top right just almost touching the outer border, it creates a bit of a focal point that stops the eye, but that's fixed as easily and dropping that top writing down ever so slightly.
That said I really do like they ideas you have here, the character looks great (though the visor feels flat compared to the helmet and body), the color palette is pleasing, I enjoy the insignia design, and the speakers and text are great touches too. I know its more of an ID than a deviation, but I wanted to write more than just the typical "Lol, cool", as this seems something a little more personal than your typical work and is deserving as such.

Thank you for your honest and thorough suggestions on this! It's been a really long time since I've received a real critique on some of my more, "Normal" illustrations. But you do have a good point about the typography it seems I've, missed some basic points when it comes to spacing objects to prevent clutter. Thank you for pointing that out.
I've thinned the border some and dropped the the outer glow that gave all of that extra padding, and it did help the picture and it looks much better. How ever I did take it a few steps further and moved my insignia.

I'm not sure if the 2 on GGJ2 really feels like a 2 in tersm of design, though when we know it's your ID, it's a 2. But if this ID was separated from the context of your screen name, would people still think thst it's a 2?

The"2" is actually apart of how the numbers in Tron: Legacy show up, so it was part of the font I downloaded. And yes those are speakers.

Basically this was done freehand with the pen tool, there was no base sketch to use.
