*full throated maniacal laughter* Finally! Finally -DONE- !!!! Between puttering around, working on this months ago, stopping, then working on it again, the gradual process, while not narrowed down to an hour figure took ages. I worked eensie weensie. A standard size of sketchpad paper. I was pretty determined to focus on my background work (now I know why I don't usually) and I have to admit it's very rewarding to see now that it's done. I gotta thank the guys for convincing me to finish this rendering of Poe McLish I started oh-so-many months earlier. The poor thing, she was sitting, but had no bench, background or even completed clothing. Sadder still I don't know WHY I was displeased enough I didn't finish her sooner. Perhaps I am too fickle...Done entirely with various fine point pens, BIC mechanical pencil (as always) and on Canson acid free sketchpad paper.

holy crap- amazing, very very very...good, lol, lack of better words. chaos! chaos! everywhere, i love it! the effect with all the paper everywhere is amazing...because...*thinking hard* it reeks of realisum people fail to see, but at the same time is in a surreal light- woot woot!
i have a few beefs on perspective (poster on the wall, bus on the bus stop sign) but...the amazingness makes up for it

yeah, I was trying to make the brick un-even, settled in places and a bit askew but it ended up throwing my depth to all hell. I suppose its a lesson learned. The bus-stop sign however was pure laziness. I threw it in to get rid of negative space in the corner, plus it was borrrrring so I rushed it.

Fuckin' hell! O_O The amount of detail there is absolutely -sic-! Even moreso due to the fact that was done with pencil and pens only. I love the patchwork pants(arethey?), most notably that there's a Star Wars patch in 'em. Hrhr, a tribute of sorts? The amount of detail you put into even the bench, ground, and refuse surrounding the bench is just disgustingly amazing... x_x Faving this work is a no-brainer. I'm glad your friends convinced you to finish and post it. :3 And hey, you finish when you finish. *shrug*
