Well, I have not bought fur yet, but it's expensive. I bought it for my Canvas fursuit, and the fur was something like 30 dollars a yard for the cheaper stuff, and 35 for the more expensive.
You only need about a yard to fur an entire head, maybe less. :3

Quick tip, make the eyebrows a little bigger, because you'll lose some (very few) of the curves after furring C:

I added more curve to the cheeks (added a top part) because I know that, but if you look from the side, the eyebrows are really sticking out.

Before gluing the fur down, hold it down to see if you'll lose any curves or anything xD (My main fursuit actually has a huge space because I made the fur pattern too small >_>; xD)

A wolf is basically just a massive fox xD If you look at some fox fursuits and compare them to wolf fursuits, they're rather similar xD
