Description
Like many people I struggle with body image. Even when I was in the best shape of my life (something I'm battling to get back to) I still hated how I looked. Β I've always wanted to look like the models from the BowFlex commercials back in the 90's. Β I try to acknowledge that I didn't get the kind of genetics that will allow me to do that, and keep on with getting healthier again. So, I borrowed my guy's Bowflex and had myself a little a self-portrait session to give myself some motivation.
That's me, being my own BowFlex model.

Thanks, I still plan to re-visit this concept now that my basement isn't freezing cold.

loI think this is a great portrait!Β also shows off your shoulder and back muscles really well!!Β you've got a nice body...I say if you have fun with his bowflex you should keep giving it a go!Β I have found its much more fun to exercise together than by myself.Β I find I start to do more when I'm with someone.
hope all's going well!

Things are good, I hope they are with you as well.
Thank you. Β I was trying for a different pose, and the concept actually worked out the way I hoped. Β I may revisit it and adjust my settings to produce a better image.
I actually don't use the BowFlex on a regular basis. Β I prefer free weights, running and kickboxing to very load music, on my own. Β I've been boosting my strength training in an attempt to combat a slow metabolism that isn't working with me on my weight loss goal.

Awesome to hear!
Things are good here, too.
Of course there are always things I want to work on.Β My metabolism has slowed down, too, and so hope to get into some kind of regime that will work for me, but so far I haven't even gotten started.
Wishing you well in working toward your goal!

I love the strong energy of this. We normally see men within the visual of exercising shirtless and so this flips it and says "No, forget the gender stereotypes, I can show you how RIPPED my back is getting". and it still maintains an elegance and a strong power, and WOW do you look tough! It's amazing!

Thank you. I was trying for something different with posing and the concept came out just the way I wanted. I may revisit this and adjust the aperture on my camera. I was in a bit of a hurry, and the ones without the motion blur didn't work out. (I'm not really that tough, I'm a bit on the short side, haha).

Hahaha yeah but you sell it so well though. Sometimes that's hard too do because it takes strategy.

Thank you. Β The concept came out the way I wanted it too, I think I might try again with some slightly different settings.

There are, but I was adjusting my lighting and camera through the whole session, so most didn't turn out the way I'd like. Β Plus, it is really cold in my basement this time of year, so I was rushing to get upstairs to my treadmill. Now that I have a baseline, I can revisit with hopefully better results.
