Anyway, on to our last 'punk!

Nine... I honestly am not that mad at the guy. Sure, he accidentally started a machine hell-bent on killing all his friends, but would you be mad at a baby for doing something like that? He was a NEWBORN, for crying out loud! According to what I've heard, the others had been alive for 50 YEARS. Nine was alive for a few hours. I will give him that. Granted, I did find it a little upsetting.

But can you imagine the GUILT he felt? He was the only one to see every single person die. HIS BEST FRIEND DIED RIGHT IN FRONT OF HIM. I can't help but wonder if the grief of the deaths actually hit them once the ritual was over because even though Three, Four and Seven would all be very upset as well, Nine would probably go into shock or something. At the very least I can see him having reoccuring nightmares! I feel that all the hate (especially calling him a MURDERER) is a bit too much.

I think the best part about this character, and why everyone was willing to forgive him to some degree, was the fact that he admitted it. He lived up to his mistake and tried everything he could to make it up and live it down. Nine did everything in his power to make everything right and was even willing to DIE to save the others and pay for that mistake, and I respect him for that.

The little burlap newborn has won my heart over and I will love him for who he is rather than hate him for the mistake he made.

Give it up for our little n00b! ^^
