I finally settled on my choice for the Spring contest.
Only took half as long as I thought it would.
Seemed like an entirely sensible thing to have a festival in Skyloft since it's such a festive looking place. (A lot like Clock Town in Termina for that matter, but this time there's no moon overhead to crush everybody, so they can just enjoy the spring air.
Zelda's dress is, obviously, made up and for that matter, so is the girl reclining on the grass behind them. (An unused sketch that helped to flesh things out a bit.)

I see you didn't notice the description.
And it's Spring, though I'm not surprised I'd associate spring with something more summery, since where I live, Spring is more like a fight between Winter and Summer. XD Each day is either one or the other. Not much in-between weather. I've seen rain, sleet, sunlight, snow, fog and hail in the same day.

this painting came out pretty bad ass! The only thing that could bring it up a notch would be to play with the lighting a bit especially since you have a lot of light sources.

I was thinking about that too. Somehow, it just felt right at this point. It's sort of like the pictures of the Carnival of Time you see in Majora's Mask, but slightly more real.
