When the ancient planet of Asgard began to crumble, it's immortal ruler, Odin, sent his son Thor from the dying world, to the planet where the Asgardians were once hailed as gods: Earth. Crashing there, he established himself a false identity of Thomas Kent, and tried to blend in with the world's people. However, he learned that Earth, too, was plaqued by evil, and hefting his hammer Mgiolinir, he adopted the identity of Guardian, Earth's greatest champion.
