BEWARE OF SEMI-LONG RANT.
Augh. I know a lot of people who hate Twilight, especially now that it's gaining popularity. Unfortunately, this is also the reason why more and more people like Twilight. My question is: WHY?!
For one, THE MAIN CHARACTERS ARE ALL FUCKING MARY SUES. Bella is so ridiculously clumsy that, rather than being an endearing character trait, it's a huuuuuge fault. Not only that, but EVERYONE. LOVES. HER. Now why is that? Especially considering the fact that, ummm, she's not supposed to be pretty? Not only that, but she can be such a bitch, too. And in Eclipse, she's downright horny. Pretty sickening, consider the one she wants to get it on with is dead. Damn necrophiliac...
Then there's Edward. He sucks at life, seriously. LOL 102-year-old virgin, anyone? Drama queen. Priss. Tries to be virtuous by refusing to have sex with Bella and PRETTY MUCH ATTEMPTING TO FREAKING RAPE HER AT THE END OF ECLIPSE. WATCHES HER SLEEP. Stalked Bella. And you know what? She didn't even care. She was actually FLATTERED that a potential murderer was following her around and staring at her through her window. Wow. No teenage girl can seriously be that trusting.
And then there's Jacob, who I was too lazy to draw. Two words: Fucking. Rapist.
Okay, so putting characters aside, let's talk about the plot. See the size of the book? Well, take a #2 pencil and admire it's size. Got it to memory? Well, if you chopped out all the bullshit and about 9/10 of Bella's thoughts focused on Edward, that's what the size of Twilight would be. As stated above, in the illustration, 298 pages in New Moon was wasted on the fucking "gaping hole" in Bella's chest. Errr, okay. But Jacob tried to help her! That was made null and void by the fact that she fucking left him to go with the guy who LEFT HER IN THE MIDDLE OF A FOREST AT LIKE MIDNIGHT.
Then there's Eclipse. Oh, Eclipse. Why oh why is Bella important enough to warrant a fucking VAMPIRE ARMY TO GO KILL HER? Seriously. And, oh look! She decides she loves BOTH Edward and Jacob (that whore!)~ Eeeyeah. Okay.
So yeah. I'm really far too lazy to rant more about how there's a lack of real plot and character depth. Yeah...

I mean bella just couldn't move on. she was thinking about edward all the time. but i do read it cos it's well written and i like those books. and yes jacob is the only one with a real personality. and i don't really like bella. but i still like those books. and try to remember it's just a book. some people like it some don't. it's so annoying when someone is like "OMG I LOVE TWILIGHT EEP" or "I HATE TWILIGHT IT'S SO STUPID". just keep those toughts to yourself. okay?

you make several very good points... Bella is indeed a fucking whore and a real dumbshit and if i had written it i would have given it a better plot but i still enjoy reading it because its so UNrealistic. I guess i have a talent to ignore the fact that the main characters have no real opposing personality trates and simply enjoy whatever it is im reading. The other thing people need to remember is that is JUST a book. it was someone elses ideas and/or thoughts printed. I do not agree with the lack of logic the main characters tend to have, but I think its still rude to bash people for liking something that isn't real and could never happen. There's no point to it. Its written and published and some peopel like it. oh well.

Oh my God, I cannot stand Twilight. The only books I can deal with are New Moon and Breaking Dawn, and in New Moon that'd be the part where Bella's with Jacob and in Breaking Dawn where it's in Jacob's perspective....... I hate Bella so much. If she's into pain, get a dominatrix, not a frickin' vampire stalker.
Oh, and as for Jacob? The only character with a real personality. The girls are Mary Sues or not characterized at all, and the guys all want to rape Bella.

I've heard that too. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if he did. XD Though I do have my own guesses at the intentions of whoever leaked it. I'm thinking it's most likely someone who thought it'd be fun to see what would happen if s/he leaked it, or someone who couldn't help but show it to a friend, and then that friend showed it to a friend, and so on, until it got to where anyone could read it. Those are just guesses, though.

Anyway I want to say that you've helped me a little with my Twilight fanfic which is to make the OCs my best friend and I made nothing and I mean NOTHING like the twilight gang. this may be the tenth comment i tried to post where i tried to be polite of how i don't like people always having to be so critical over a stupid book. i don't know how long i can take this. look, people have different opinions. i'm completely in-between what people thought. i personally really enjoyed the book (don't get mad at me), but i find it extremely pesty when people are "I LOVED TWILIGHT!!!" "TWILIGHT IS SO STUPID." it's a book, enjoy it or hate it or be neutral. keep your annoying ideas to yourself, or towards your friends. leave us the peace of your extreme hate/love of a stupid book. if you do have the urge to make art about it, be nice. it really ruins things when people go overboard.

I hate Twilight with a burning passion. I've not even read it and I hate it.
I'd support book burning in this case, because that author CAN NOT write. Her grammar is terrible, and her sentence structure could be improved if she got a five year old to write it for her.
(I stated I haven't read the book, yes, but a friend of mine has shown me some passages, and I was left utterly speechless at how this crap could have ever gotten published).
