BEWARE OF SEMI-LONG RANT.
Augh. I know a lot of people who hate Twilight, especially now that it's gaining popularity. Unfortunately, this is also the reason why more and more people like Twilight. My question is: WHY?!
For one, THE MAIN CHARACTERS ARE ALL FUCKING MARY SUES. Bella is so ridiculously clumsy that, rather than being an endearing character trait, it's a huuuuuge fault. Not only that, but EVERYONE. LOVES. HER. Now why is that? Especially considering the fact that, ummm, she's not supposed to be pretty? Not only that, but she can be such a bitch, too. And in Eclipse, she's downright horny. Pretty sickening, consider the one she wants to get it on with is dead. Damn necrophiliac...
Then there's Edward. He sucks at life, seriously. LOL 102-year-old virgin, anyone? Drama queen. Priss. Tries to be virtuous by refusing to have sex with Bella and PRETTY MUCH ATTEMPTING TO FREAKING RAPE HER AT THE END OF ECLIPSE. WATCHES HER SLEEP. Stalked Bella. And you know what? She didn't even care. She was actually FLATTERED that a potential murderer was following her around and staring at her through her window. Wow. No teenage girl can seriously be that trusting.
And then there's Jacob, who I was too lazy to draw. Two words: Fucking. Rapist.
Okay, so putting characters aside, let's talk about the plot. See the size of the book? Well, take a #2 pencil and admire it's size. Got it to memory? Well, if you chopped out all the bullshit and about 9/10 of Bella's thoughts focused on Edward, that's what the size of Twilight would be. As stated above, in the illustration, 298 pages in New Moon was wasted on the fucking "gaping hole" in Bella's chest. Errr, okay. But Jacob tried to help her! That was made null and void by the fact that she fucking left him to go with the guy who LEFT HER IN THE MIDDLE OF A FOREST AT LIKE MIDNIGHT.
Then there's Eclipse. Oh, Eclipse. Why oh why is Bella important enough to warrant a fucking VAMPIRE ARMY TO GO KILL HER? Seriously. And, oh look! She decides she loves BOTH Edward and Jacob (that whore!)~ Eeeyeah. Okay.
So yeah. I'm really far too lazy to rant more about how there's a lack of real plot and character depth. Yeah...

Shame that My Immortal was removed. Yes, I have heard. And I think it was because the person said that Twilight sucked, not because he hadn't read it.
There was also a lady who had a son named Jacob and was going to have another son named Edward. She was thinking of putting Jacob up for adoption.

Twilight is one of those stories that u have no real concrete reason for loving it. u just do. there is no explination *trust me, i've asked TONS of people "why do u like this series?" to which i get "I have no idea, i just do"* u either love it or u hate it, there is no middle ground.
bella is just one of those people that other feel that they just HAVE to take of, for no apperant reason.
HEY!! dun knock Edward! ...though i do love how she never really cared much about doing it until then......i mean, it was kinda mentioned but not really.
of course i do have to give u that he was a bit of a creeper when it came to watching her sleep...but thwen again she was a little weird about it too, it didnt seem to bother her like it should have. since at the end it even calmed her down..hmmmm.....maybe i should look into that a bit more.

Bella is one of those girls that has abandonment issues....and personally, i never liked Jacob so im glad she went back. but was there really a need to write that much about her and jacob in New moon? i skipped half of the book just rying to find an Edward scene again *then went back and read the whole thing*
Soooo~ooo......since i think that it's safe to say ur not a twilight fan...if u were would u be team Edward or team Jacob? just out of curiousity.

lol this is great! and the sad thing is it does sum up almost the entire book. I wonder, no offence, but fangirliepeople...how is edward cullen hot? all you know about him is that he is shiny, not-quite ginger and his smile is wonkey.

I'll agree Bella is a bit of a knob. And Edward is so moody and can't make is mind up. Twilight I liked. New Moon I DESPISE! Breaking dawn is much better and ecilipse was my 2 nd favourite mainly because Bella is really cool (: I'm starting to read the one from edwards point of view now (Y)

This is genius. I haven't read the books, but I've gotten as informed as I have to from listening to my friends.
Before I even really knew what it was about, I could tell something was off about it. Hello? Girls dreaming about being with Edward? Do they not realize how controlling and obsessive Edward seems to be? Do they not know that Bella isn't her own person anymore and is about as independent as a pencil without paper?
I just really can't see how this book became popular. There are so many other books out there with much more potential. You know, vampire books where the vampires actually have FANGS? And that's the least of it.

never took the time to read any of the other books after the first one in an attempt to prevent further brain damage.
cant stand bella, at all. Ur right about all the cute little romantic novel or whatever you wanna call them characters and how theyre all the same: not pretty, nor gracefull, nor popular, and she gets the "hot" guy anyway. "hot" is in quotes because robert pattinson looks too fuggin angry to be considered attractive. Plus the sparkles are a major turn-off.

For the same reason I did. TO HAVE THE RIGHT to hate it. There are some things, you KNOW you are going to dislike BUT in order to justify that to the wild-eyed fangirls you have to suffer through it to prove a point.
And that may not even be the case with this girl. She may have read the book, thinking she'd like it... and STILL ended up hating it. If she spouted all these negative things out and then turned around saying, "Oh I actually didn't read the book," you would have said, "You don't know what you're talking about!" And blown her off as a "newb."

You know...to be simply honest, im reading it right now, and i agree with you on Bella...and im surprised im not in love with Edward like everyone else it, i very much like Alice and Jasper (I tell you one thing though i was creeped out by my 30 year old co worker saying how much she wanted Edward lol im like "...dude...he's 17...>>" And dont worry...im not the type to be like omfg your a newb XD i was putting off reading Twilight for the longest time...i wanted to be one of the few who didnt, but since work was slow and i needed something to read, i just grabbed it...
