EDIT: Ack. Sorry, but I don't think I'll be responding to comments on the comics anymore unless it really picks up my interest XD it takes up WAAAYYY too much of my time to do so. Lul. I feel kinda bad, though - everyone deserves a response XD

---
Because everyone should sooooo read Twilight.

BEWARE OF SEMI-LONG RANT.

Augh. I know a lot of people who hate Twilight, especially now that it's gaining popularity. Unfortunately, this is also the reason why more and more people like Twilight. My question is: WHY?!

For one, THE MAIN CHARACTERS ARE ALL FUCKING MARY SUES. Bella is so ridiculously clumsy that, rather than being an endearing character trait, it's a huuuuuge fault. Not only that, but EVERYONE. LOVES. HER. Now why is that? Especially considering the fact that, ummm, she's not supposed to be pretty? Not only that, but she can be such a bitch, too. And in Eclipse, she's downright horny. Pretty sickening, consider the one she wants to get it on with is dead. Damn necrophiliac...

Then there's Edward. He sucks at life, seriously. LOL 102-year-old virgin, anyone? Drama queen. Priss. Tries to be virtuous by refusing to have sex with Bella and PRETTY MUCH ATTEMPTING TO FREAKING RAPE HER AT THE END OF ECLIPSE. WATCHES HER SLEEP. Stalked Bella. And you know what? She didn't even care. She was actually FLATTERED that a potential murderer was following her around and staring at her through her window. Wow. No teenage girl can seriously be that trusting.

And then there's Jacob, who I was too lazy to draw. Two words: Fucking. Rapist.

Okay, so putting characters aside, let's talk about the plot. See the size of the book? Well, take a #2 pencil and admire it's size. Got it to memory? Well, if you chopped out all the bullshit and about 9/10 of Bella's thoughts focused on Edward, that's what the size of Twilight would be. As stated above, in the illustration, 298 pages in New Moon was wasted on the fucking "gaping hole" in Bella's chest. Errr, okay. But Jacob tried to help her! That was made null and void by the fact that she fucking left him to go with the guy who LEFT HER IN THE MIDDLE OF A FOREST AT LIKE MIDNIGHT.

Then there's Eclipse. Oh, Eclipse. Why oh why is Bella important enough to warrant a fucking VAMPIRE ARMY TO GO KILL HER? Seriously. And, oh look! She decides she loves BOTH Edward and Jacob (that whore!)~ Eeeyeah. Okay.

So yeah. I'm really far too lazy to rant more about how there's a lack of real plot and character depth. Yeah...

---

Hahaha, ugly comic. Must go get another sugar cone. I am sooooo remaking this in the future xDDD

Does anyone see the reference to the worst fanfic ever? Enoby srsly reminds me of Bella during New Moon.

I could go on and on. I won't because I'm starting to get bored LOL.

Bella, Edward, Twilight, etc. (c) Stephenie Meyer

personally i stand neutral in regards to twilight, but i do agree with some of the stuff you're saying about Bella. The whole Edward/Jacob crap in New Moon and Eclipse is really stupid. In a way i sympathize Jacob (don't know if you do), although i would never want to see him with bella. He really should realize that Bella can't be his, if she keeps going back to Edward. Edward needs a life that's not all Bella centric, and Bella has decision-issues. But i think being neutral, i can also understand why people like twilight. It's a idealistic scenerio for a lot of people, about a life which has someone who loves you no matter what (since that is the message Meyer is trying to deliver). I disagree with some of the comments saying how people over 14 just simply cannot like twilight, because it's riduculous to say that liking something is restricted to a certain age group. People like the because of the idea that it represents, and Twilight can almost be catagorized as a fairy tale (well it does have happily ever after). Like all writer, Stephanie Meyer is not without fault, but her idea of a timeless romance story might just appeal to some people.

Thank you for being civil, and I actually agree with your opinion much more than you'd think I might.

What initially attracted me to Twilight was the is fairy-tale qualities and, yes, the 'idealistic scenario' you described. The whole Jacob ordeal - I empathize with him. However, as you said, he should realize that Bella was meant to be with Edward (in the end, he does, but not for the right reasons...)

Edward and Bella were meant to be. Maybe to some, Stephenie Meyer is one of the best writers because of her romance. Twilight, however, wasn't quite my cup of tea.

I love the cuts on Bella's wrists when she's in emo mode. Very nice touch.

I really dislike Twilight. It's poorly written, full of plotholes, and I don't like how unrealistic it can be at times, and how the series ends pretty much "THEY ALL LIVE HAPPILY EVER AFTER". The Vampire world is far more nitty gritty than THAT.

Alot of my close friends only just started reading this and they're lapping it up like Meyer is a God of Literature. I'm the only girl in my English Literature class that doesn't like it, and actually agrees with my teacher about how much nonsense it can be. And so, I'm sat there reading "The Picture of Dorian Gray" while my classmates are in Twilight fangirl mode... and my poor teacher is thanking me for saving his sanity. The thing is, the book we read, we have to write something SIMILAR to that. So he will have to mark a bunch of Meyer clones. Oh dear.

There's always one person who will tell me how wrong I am. Especially when it comes to this book for some reason. It's like I'm not allowed to have my own opinion without being raped for it.

Believe me, we're not slating anyone but the author, so why these people take it personally, like their life is going to end if someone hates Edward or Bella, is beyond me. And I find that the majority of girls who read Twilight don't know of many good Victorian novels, or barely read at all. I didn't join English Literature to talk about Meyer all year. Of course, that isn't everyone, but a majority.

Markus Zusak's "The Book Thief" made me cry because it was so beautiful. The only reason I cried over the Twilight series was from laughing so hard.

Also, please don't reply if you're going to hate me. There's little point in wasting your effort on somebody who won't even bother to reply. <3

Your opinion dazzles me. After a friend of mine reads it, I'm actually going to begin reading Dorian Gray once I hear her overall review. It's a bit depressing, though, since my English teacher is actually being converted into a Twilight fan currently.

And wow! I'm amazed! I cried during The Book Thief, too! Or near the ending at least. It was beautifully written and it certainly had an interesting perspective - Death is much more coherent than Bella is, unsurprisingly.

I love you so much. You have no idea how much I was looking for someone who disliked Twilight as much as me. I cannot stand Bella. She is indeed, as you said, a "mary-sue," and it's annoying how everyone decides that she's "amazing."

Anyways, I enjoyed the comic to death. It was cute, true, and horribly funny.

I giggled at the way you deal with the bashers of this comic. <3

I know I shouldn't say that when I haven't read the book myself, but with all the summaries, reviews, fans, and all that wild shit. I cannot stand it anymore.

All the harsh comments about Twilight makes me sad, but hey, I still love Twilight! ...and I love your comic strip as well! heheheh you were so true about the 298 pages of Bella acting so emo! For someone who doesn't like the book (or do you? LOL), I salute you for putting effort to this. I mean, your comic is very NEAT, not to mention that you actually took note of the number of the destructive pages of Bella! So I don't know if faving this will be a compliment for you or not.

Its not a difficult series to read (not high reading level) but its still interesting! Also dont say bella went EMO for 289 pages! Bella gets upset!!! If you've ever had your heart torn to shreds then you would know it fucking HURTS! so dont diss bella! also the story frequently mentions that its not that bella isnt pretty, its that bella doesnt think shes pretty! also for all you commenters READ THE BOOKS BEFORE YOU TALK! im not obsessed. I can tell bella not being bothered by the stalking or watching is weird, and that bella deserting jacob was unfair, and by saying she loved both edward and jacob Bella was being a bitch, is all BAD!!! But the story still has good points. ALSO to all the commenters who havent red the story, READ IT!!! but dont start with a bad attitude. I bet even if you dont love it you will think its ok if you give it the chance! DONT DISS TWILIGHT!

May I first say that I'm 14 with an "above college reading level"? XD That might explain why, apparently, I am an immature bitch with no life - I'm too young to have comprehension of anything. But I can form my own opinions. I perceive the books however they're presented to me. Emo, upset - she had no reason to be so. If she let love conquer her life so much, perhaps she shouldn't have fallen in love with Edward in the first place. It's unhealthy to revolve around a single guy. And Bella is the narrator - we are meant to see what she sees and look at the book's universe through her eyes. If she sees herself as ugly, then that is how the reader can choose to see her.

Thank you for voicing your opinion, however.

OK, I have an IQ of 142. I have straight A's at one of the best schools in the country. I read 9 books or more every week. Sorry if I wasn't typing with perfect grammar before. I was typing shorthand. (Just so you know) That means that I left out punctuation and capitalization for the sake of speed, not because I don't know how to use them. I like the Twilight series. I like the characters, and I like to read the book to relax. I didn't say Stephenie Meyer is "The Best" or that Twilight is "The Best". The grade level for the twilight books is probably 6th grade, tops. But I like the series. Its fun, enjoyable, and FICTION! If you have a problem with the books don't read them. I don't care what you do. You have no right to say I'm an idiot solely based off the fact I've read twilight. All I said in my comment was that you (and I mean an ambiguous "you", all the people who were commenting, not "you" personally Hot-Sauce-Vixxen) should know what you're talking about, before you judge. Twilight isn't a book I read because I wanted a difficult or stimulating read, but because I was looking for something easy and relaxing. Look back at the comment I made originally. It wasn't a tirade. I corrected some assumptions, and I didn't mock anyones opinion. My main point in my original comment was "Don't comment unless you've read it." I don't care if you hate it and mock it, AFTER you've read it. If you've read it, you can decide your own opinion. Also, I want to say something non-twilight related. Don't call me honey, or talk to me condescendingly. I'm perfectly capable of intelligent conversation. I typed this paragraph with perfect punctuation and spelling, since you think "sentance fragments are a big no-no". Couldn't you have used a better word than no-no, if you're so intelligent? This, and my last comment, weren't ignorant tirades. I have friends on both sides of the twilight fence, and I made an EDUCATED opinion, something you wouldn't know about. Also, don't comment me back, because I don't want to waste anymore of my time on an intolerant, judgemental Bitch like you. Did YOU understand any of what I said, or should I simplify it for the idiotic bitch? XD
