Personally, I don't see the point in redesigning adopts.
Someone put time into the original design; it's dishonorable.
It's your character, though, do what you want.
Personally, I'd just make a new character and say it was based off/inspired by the old.

I mean like I'm not redesigning the previous design from the adopt seller, im just giving it a new one if that makes sense? if what I'm doing is wrong, I guess I'll sell the previous design as a separate character
