I like the desaturation, the concept, and the way the people in the shot convey the meaning you want very good!

woah i actually liked it cuz of the lack in saturation... i'd like it even more if you didnt keep the colors of the umbrella stronger cuz then it was really a soothing picture...
love it.

Ohhh, but you need something in the frame to stand out, to be the center of attension.
I like the stronger colours, that sends an optimistic message.

but if you're focusing attention you're making.... some kind of stress
this looks like a mighty optimistic pic and a very calm one with just the pale colors also
yet again, maybe "stressless" isn't what you really looked for

Lovely colours and tones. I really like the sky here, it's quite unusual but great nontheless. Good horizon. What I really like is, apart from the umbrellas, the image is almost monochrome, yet not, which is really nice.
Great work once again!

I love how you used the "Rule of Thirds" with the poeple. They are still a nice object in the picture, but not the main focus. Excellent job.

My wife is starting to get into photography, I have ended up doing most of the learning (i.e. Rule of Thirds). When we got Photoshop 7, I was the one who ended up learning it. That is what every photomanip in my gallery was for, practice.
You can see a few, very few, of my wife's pics on her account -->
She has just started within the past 3 months, we both have busy lives so she doesn't really get much practice though.

The saturation in this is gorgeous. I love the splash of color in the umbrellas contrasting against the almost colorless sky and sand. I'm sorry I don't have more to say, but this shot definitely gives me the stress-free feeling you're going for.

"I have heard the mermaids singing, each to each.
I do not think that they will sing to me.
I have seen them riding seaward on the waves
Combing the white hair of the waves blown back
When the wind blows the water white and black.
We have lingered in the chambers of the sea
By sea-girls wreathed with seaweed red and brown
Till human voices wake us, and we drown."
(T.S. Eliot)
A very soul-quieting image, Gilad.
