Theme Challenge: Portfolio Suggested by Andorada
Every artist needs to showcase their art. There are many different ways, depending on what type of art they have. But a portfolio is classic. The journal can either be inspired by portfolios, or be a portfolio to display art. The skin would be perfect for art focused features, picture stories, collection highlights, web comics or anything that would work well in a one page image format.

Blank Template
Where to begin when starting a journal? I've compiled a quick, blank template for myself, plus a few bells and whistles. I'd like to share my template, which I update frequently using GoogleDrive. There, I am able to bold current changes and add comments on the sides. Here is my Journal Skin Template .
Here is the file compiled into a PDF document. The template is divided into sections, each with the definition commented above it. Permission is granted to use this. It does include some of the special extras I add, such as styling for cancelling out thumb styles, floats, columns, meter and button formats. Those may require extra HTML on the user's end and can be removed. All of these are towards the end of the document. I use my template, fill out what I need for the design, then come back through and delete whatever I don't use. The additional Divs named 'divname1/2/3' are placeholders. If I use custom divs, I name them something relevant to my skin, but they can be named whatever.
Basic CSS and HTML knowledge may be needed to use this resource in its entirety. It is merely the structure plus my add-ons. This is a free to use resource, but I ask that it is not re-uploaded as a resource. No credit to me is necessary on the skins you may use this for.
The older, installable version is in my gallery. It is not current with the add-ons or newest codes, but may still be useful. Install, then edit and save as new.
