WOOHOOOO doneskies!!
My Facebook and Tumblr followers will have already seen bits and pieces of this, but alas! It's finally done!!
I went super girly on this one, and although I'm not exactly a girly girl, I had SO much fun painting this! I suppose there is a girly side of me that really only comes out through my artistic endeavours haha. I'm mostly happy with the result, though there are a few things here and there that I wish I had the ability to do better. But I suppose as I learn more, things will just get easier and easier. There's always something nagging at me at the end, but there comes a point when I must move on. I'm just happy that I'm actually able to finish something these days!
This was done with a Wacom Intuos4 tablet, and Photoshop CS6.
I will be setting up a prints store on Etsy and Society6 soontimes for those of you who are interested in buying some original signed prints! So look out for that in the near future!

I love the defiance in her expression- a girl in this level of prettied-up pink is usually too innocent, calm and maybe a bit boring-looking, so this is refreshing.
And of course, the technical skill displayed in folds of the fabric and in the lace are very impressive.

haha yes they were VERY tedious... I was actually getting a teensy bit impatient with those but glad to be able to get them done!
