Yay, a special edition of the "Sexy Art God" satire tutorial series!
This tutorial is about tracing, and the awesomeness of tracing.
Who knows, I might do one on paint-overs next!
I pity all poor souls who view this with dialup. Unless they're getting a snack or buying something cool while it loads. Then you get no pity from me, and possibly sentence fragments.

I think my friend took this to heart... She does everything you describe... Any pointers on how to make her stop? she denies that she is a copy artist and she uses references... but clearly they are traced.

Ugh, there's this girl who traces and recolors "bases" which she supposedly "loses" every time she posts a picture. It's super annoying. And her char is a Mary Sue. D:
So many people have reported her pics but she hasn't been banned...sad.

There's so much truth to this. I once met somebody here who was secretly and art thief, but I blindly followed them because honestly, I had no idea this person was actually stealing the art. I felt incredibly stupid after realizing what the truth was...but anyway, after she was found out, she made journals about how she's a victim, and everyone sends her hatemail. A pity journal. As if she was the victim and all of this, and not the artists who spent countless hours trying to perfect art they could call their own, not knowing that bitches like her keep stealing it.
That's the misconception about art. Sure, people make art to be seen and be heard, but that's not the whole of art. Art is about expression. It's about conveying your emotions to other people and connecting with them. It's not just about the popularity.
Anyway, I loved reading this. It was nicely done.

It is not even funny anymore.
People even showed layered PSDS and GIFS proving that she TRACES movie posters and photos, and all she does is harass them, make journals about 'these horrible bullies' and dramatically pretend to leave DA, then come back.
like four days later.
People like her make me sick, because they downgrade the value of art for the rest of us.

the only reason to trace is practice, and if u do, u shouldnt do anything with it. just keep it or throw it away....
or if u DRAW something on your own but u wanna update it but u cant draw it again so u trace YOUR original pic
