Description -a break from the usual format, my hired team of writers, layout artists, draftsmen, and inkers wanted the week off.

I often find Jazz Hands can make any comic better.

Jazz hands DO make any comic better. If only Garfield made jazz hands whenever he swats a spider or kicks Odi off a table (for the 9 billionth time) Garfield might not make me want to kill someone (Jim Davis) brutally. Instead I'd probably just spit on him.
I really like all of the sly critiques on comics in this one, with the dramatic pause panel, and the three first panels just being almost exactly the same. Excellent.

Another way to enjoy Garfield is to stop reading his thoughts- infact remove them entirely, that way he becomes just a regular cat and John becomes a profoundly lonely, delusional man who talks to himself.
'gives the strip a totally new, slightly surreal meaning. [link]

My theory of enjoying Garfield mainly consists of skipping it entirely and reading Get Fuzzy instead, but I think I'm going to have to start reading it this way instead. That borders on genious.
