Man, this is an old, OLD doodle I started years ago, and then never really finished. It's been kickin' round my sketchbook for a while now, I used to only work on it around Christmas.I'm always amazed by the number of people who only know the Grinch as a Chuck Jones cartoon, and never realize that it's actually derived from a BOOK. There've also been a surprising range of incarnations of the Grinch over the years, each vastly diferent in design from another. -But if you ask me, the only true Grinch is one Theodor Seuss Geisel drew by hand- which he originally conceived as covored in black and white stripes with pink eyes.

I love the Grinch! Always been a favorite. I love how you did his face here, and his fur! Original design, but you can still see that it's the Grinch!

Wow, tis drawing rocks.
And I agree. Ted and Chuck were friends, but Chuck did change the design of the grinch from the book.
