Description
A small bundle of cloth,
Shaped into a blunt figure
Bound in stitches, keeping it from falling apart.
That's what she is-
-just like me

Limbs lay unresponsive,
Except when another's larger hand takes and animates it._
A tinker toy.
Just a little girl's play thing; to be loved, to be discarded as years go by.
That's what she is-
-and yet I'm drawn to her.

My hand wraps around her lop-sided head.
Smooth, brittle, red-dyed hair ripple and spread as my fingers weave through them.
Her face lays, with no emotion, no sign of life.
Almost unaware of the world around her.
I clutch her limp body, easily elevating her to match my eyes.
Two unidentical colored buttons return my gaze, old and worn.
Black thread lining the mouth and freckles.
Expertly created, but with so many flaws-
-just like me.

That's what we are:
...little ragdolls in a world of porcelin figures.

Just a poem I created a year ago and I found the picture I drew with it. It was an English assignment that actually got me an 'A'. [I know.. HUGE surprise there]
