Beautiful work. I really admire the musculature on this piece, as well as the pose and the subtle but dramatic background. I have to second =Sereda 's opinion on the metal too - top notch stuff, especially on the scimitar Nice work!

Her torso is particularly well done, beautiful flowing lines and such a lovely sheen on her skin. However, the thing I most admire are the metallic effects! *bangs head off desk* I have such trouble with metal!

Yeah, metal sux. The important part methinks is to give the illusion of reflection. Remember that highlights put right next to dark colours gives this illusion. Personally I usually go from a blueish-greeninsh base colour (with a tint of red or yellow if the metal is gold), and then add patches of white where light would reflect, before blending them slightly with the background to increase the sense of reflection. If the metal is close to something - a piece of cloth or skin - add a tint of that colour to the metal where the reflection would be. I've also found that using the 'overlay' function to the brush can increase the metallic effect.
