Description
This was taken at my Mum's house, in her kitchen window. I used some left over curtain fabric as a backdrop and used the natural daylight as a primary ligh source. When taking photo's of flowers, light is as important as with any other photo, but I tend to like 2 sources. One that shines into the flower, illuminating it and the other reflected to enhance any some softness. I've removed the out of focus tulip blossom that was to the lower right of the frame, I found it a bit distracting.A simple shot using a 100mm macro, a tripod and a remote release.

Thank you, they were a lovely bunch of flowers that my Dad bought my Mum and even better that I got a cool oportunity to shoot them.
Now I can hang them on my wall until I'm bored of them!

An amazing picture, really really sharp. Once again there is very little to say about your pictures besides compliments. Having said that i might have chopped the bottom tulip off. Either way is fine, but looking back, your way is better. the fact that it isn't what I expected makes the picture all the more intriguing and batter than the average amazing picture. (average amazing?)

Thank You, and it's great to hear from you.
Yes I find that bottom splash of out of focus tulip on the bottom right a bit distracting, I'll clone it out when I get the urge.

Thank you.
It's amazing how sharp the Canon 100mm USM macro is, id love to try a EFs 60mm macro on a 20D because I hear that it's even sharper (if that's possible).
