Sure, you can download a pirated version, but at the rather high price of not being able to use any custom content, or any content at all other than the hl2 models. It's boring as hell like that.
Buy yourself a legit version off Steam. It's worth it.

The answer to your question is that GMod is a sandbox. And also it means that you can do almost anything(versatile)! Comics, random pics and whasoever. But that mod is commercial ($10)
