In preparation for a Devilman picture I'm planning, I decided to do some practice sketches to re-familiarize myself with the character...this is the first one...done in about 20 minutes I would guess(wasn't really keeping track)....I wasn't really planning it this way, but I think the roughness of this sketch actually helps it out...it reminds me a bit of the roughness from the original mangas from waaaaay back when...so that's probably a good thing...it also makes him look a little more ferocious I think...but then what do I know? hehe...

The style of it does the character justice as this is very much in-keeping with the old manga standard, personally I think he looked better in that style before they re-vamped him but thats just me, looking forward to the finished article.
