The origins of this enormous superpredator are shrouded in mystery. Some say they were one of the many undiscovered species that emerged from the hollow zones beneath the surface world, while others believe they were among the surviving passengers of the Kilaakian mothership destroyed in 1999. The fact that they were discovered shortly after the ship's destruction seems to support the latter theory. Either way, there is no doubt that the dread saurian is a truly impressive animal. Far bigger than an ordinary theropod, these immense reptiles have no problem taking down prey that is untouchable for smaller carnivores. The oldest specimens are still decorated with jewels and golden armor, speaking of their status as a deity or at least highly respected warbeast of some primitive culture. Dread saurians frequently let out loud bellows that can be heard several miles away, informing other predators to stay away from their territory. Little is known about the reproductive habits of this species, only that they mate fairly rarely. Nowadays, 7 documented individuals are known to live on the island, 3 taking residence in the heart of the jungles on the surface, while the other 4 can be found wandering in the still poorly explored wilderness of the hollow zone beneath the island.
