Drew the intitial concept with pencil, scanned it it, blocked in the colors underneath the line art, flattened all the layers down on photoshop, and started painting. Occasionally I will use the burn or dodge tool to get a certain effect. But other wise it's the normal round (tablet sensitive opacity) brush with dual layers on to give the brush some teeth, and texture, like you would from a normal brush, without having to import a photo or something ridiculous. Sorry long winded explanation, but I hope it covers it all
