What was that word? Isaac's mind wandered back to it while they pressed on. Obviously it was important with how it was carved in the wall so, but he hadn't had a long look at it. The written language was layered, meaning it took time to translate. From a glance, one of the potential words was... "thief". It didn't make much sense, and it was threatening to rob Isaac of his meager grace once again. His thoughts came to an abrupt halt when he and Robin reached the end of their road.
What awaited them was like nothing he'd ever seen. Beyond their now meager torch light was a natural chamber bathed in the soft unique light of these crystals and a king's ransom in treasure. "Day and night, I've never seen so much gold in my life!" Isaac stepped forward away from the sketching Robin as he took in the sights. In all the years he'd lived on the island, he never knew it to have any gold ore. There were certainly no mines to his knowledge. Looking closer at the piles of gold, he noted that much of it wasn't native. The designs of the coins seemed to be from several different cultures, some of it even modern.
"This... must be a treasure stash belonging to the Red Hair Pirates. This island is part of their territory." It made the most sense, really. Isaac could only imagine how quickly the World Government would have swept on this sight and destroyed everything in its greed had this humble place not belonged to one of the Four Emperors. That fact alone was what let Isaac study the Dark Century in the first place. Taking his eyes from the gold, he noted the murals again which drew him to the center of the chamber. The gold throne was clearly part of this ruin, so some of the gold must have been here before Shanks and his men discovered it. Though more interesting than the throne, which was saying something, was where it was set.
While directly under the mass of crystal in the ceiling, the throne was elevated on a natural rise in the chamber's rock. The large natural platform was lined by the luminous crystal, but these were a little different. Unlike the rest of the naturally growing rock, these crystals appeared to have been shaped. They were cut into crude points by some kind of tool, all pointing towards the throne. Their alterations seemed to affect the light as well, as it seemed to shine against the gold throne in a way that implied the light was focused rather than spreading naturally. All together, the combination made the platform look like a stage.
"Miss Robin, I think it's safe to assume this is where the depicted dance took place."

Robin thought over Isaac's hypothesis, and it seemed sound enough. After all, this much gold would have been taken by the local lords or the Navy were they not considered in "territory" of a pirate the status of one of the four emperors. It was the only logical conclusion.Β
However, Robin bent down and pulled a golden cup from one of the treasure stacks, and took note of how...aged it was. The dust, along with w cobweb on it seemed to indicate some of this treasure seemed untouched. As if they had been sitting here since the original date the murals were made. But if Shanks and his crew dis discover them, then why would they still be untouched? Would it not be wise to police the loot here already to keep it in fine condition? Robin stood up and turned to Isaac.Β
"There really seemed to be no other explanation than that, but if Shanks and his crew claimed this territory and this is their treasure, why is a fair amount of it so aged and unkempt? Surely him and his crew, if they discovered the original loot, would have at least polished it or something. Just seems new treasure was piled on top of the old, and that makes little sense to me." Robin said before she walked over to the throne to begin to draw a reference illustration along with taking general notes.Β
During this, the glow of the large crystal above her head caused Robin's skin to shine brighter than ever before.Β

"Maybe the branch of his men who found this place didn't think that far ahead. Not to knock your profession, but a lot of pirates aren't that clever." Not that Isaac ever wanted to say anything, but the Straw Hats captain, from what little he saw of him, reinforced that notion. Moving closer to one of the walls, the archeologist tried to bring his torch closer to the wall to see if he could uncover more writing to translate. If this room was so important, it would have to have more of a story to tell him. Maybe he could find out an officialΒ title for the woman depicted. The treasure was making it hard to get to the walls, and sure enough, one oddly shaped statue cost Isaac his footing.
He didn't completely fall, but in his rush to balance himself, he dropped his torch while clutching his notes close to himself. The stick rolled across the hard ground away from the treasure, apparently having studied fire safety, and was reduced down to embers. Walking away from the pile, Isaac heaved a sigh. Just his luck. "Hey, Ms. Robin, could I use your..."
Isaac's request to relight his torch with hers died on his lips. With his torch extinguished and hers set off somewhere else, Isaac saw Robin on the elevated platform completely illuminated by the crystals' almost unnatural light. Where torchlight flickered and cast shadows, the crystal light on her skin gave her a radiant glow, some might say a metallic finish. She stood in such a way, casually writing in her journal, that caught light not just from the top crystal, but the carved pieces below.Β
The light rolled off her hair creating ebony and ivory waves. Though her conservative clothes hid more than usual, every curve was difined nearly as brilliantly as her exposed skin. None of the light blinded, which was the unique part, everything was just defined. Enhanced, almost. This was much more intense than when he saw her face in the tunnel. This chamber turned the Demon Child into an angel. Isaac had to be gawking now, but for the life of him he couldn't think to look away. He wasn't thinking about much of anything in that moment than what was in front of him.

"I guess you make a fair point." Robin said with an amused grin. She loved and valued her crew, they were family to her. However, one cannot say Luffy always acted with the most responsibility or even with reasonable caution or strategic value. So Robin did not take much offense to that comment.
Robin finished her notes and set it aside, as she took a moment to admire the crystal and her skin under it's light. It really was beautiful, though she wondered what Isaac's perspective of it was.Β
"Say Isaac did you happen to see anything by the wa..." Robin started to say as she turned around only to her have words cut off when she took note of Isaac's, almost dumbfounded expression. Robin raised an eyebrow.
"Iaaac?"Β

Her voice seemed far away at first, a murmur in his head. When she turned to look right at him, Isaac's breath caught. Her full attention was on him and somehow that made her even more defined than before, knowing that something so beautiful acknowledged his existence as well. Her voice came more clearly to him when she was looking at him, freeing some of hisΒ mindΒ from... whatever this was.
It wasn't natural, he recognized that now. But she was so gorgeous, he couldn't form words. He staggered, trying to force his mind to function properly while drowning in all that was Nico Robin. He knocked into something on his retreat and fell harshly into the treasure, causing a pile of gold coins to spill onto his chest and partly bury him in the loot.
With his eyes no longer on Robin, he felt like he'd been splashed with cold water to chase out the grogginess of a nap. What had just happened to him? Only one answer was available. Whatever light these crystals were emitting was doing something to his mind. This wasn't like him at all.
"Are... Are we sure these crystals aren't emitting something poisonous?"

godjacob In reply to Taxima [2017-11-20 08:14:21 +0000 UTC]
Robin had an eyebrow raised as she observed Isaac's rather...rather dumbfounded expression. This was not like Isaac, far from his usual behavior (Normally he was just a klutz). It was as if he was possessed, or was seeing something rather alluring. That love struck look was familiar to Robin, but where had she seen it?Β
Robin did not have long to observe this behavior as Isaac tripping over something which seemed to snap him out of it. Seems Isaac had enough sense at the moment to ask about the crystals, which caused Robin's eyes to shift to them. Could they be responsible for the way Isaac was acting? Robin suspected it being partially to blame, but Isaac had seen the crystals and their light before. So why was it only now he was acting up.Β
"I don't think so, if it were poisonous I would be feeling the effects, and you seemed more dumbfounded rather than ill if I were to say so myself." Robin said, giving her evaluation as she stood still under the large crystal on the ceiling and tried to think this over. There had to be a rational explanation, there just had to be.Β
(So, SOO sorry for the ultra late response , at this point I am at once a day mode, but I've neglected this RP. However, essay stuff is gonna come to an end, for now, on this coming Wednesday. (You don't need to apologize so. I was aware of your busy schedule, so I went into this knowing you wouldn't be able to get to it very often. I get it and I'm not going to complain.)
Groaning at the fall, Isaac pulled himself up slowly. He was deliberately looking anywhere but at Robin now. He knew the light was responsible for what he was feeling, even if she seemed unconvinced. There was one key difference between then and now as Robin was bringing up. "Whatever this light is doing, the more light that's on you, the more of... whatever I was just experiencing." And strangely, some part of him wanted to keep experiencing it, to look back at Robin and drown in her highlighted beauty. But that wasn't him. He was an archeologist, and he wasn't going to fall victim to something like this on the cusp of this momentous discovery.
"Where you're standing, so much crystal light is bathing you that it makes you... to be blunt, irresistible to look at. Like the most beautiful thing on the planet was right in front of me." Where she stood... Where she stood... was that woman's throne. The murals were depicting her there, showered in riches by the men... and only men... Something was resonating within Isaac. These crystals were natural illumination. They grew, but how quickly did they grow? Could they have been here since the time those murals were made?

(Thanks, with Thanksgiving break I hope I'm more active. Power point due next Tuesday be damned!)Β
Robin considered Isaac's words, as she glanced at her own skin. It was rather illuminating, though whatever effect they had seemed to not be self inflicting, as Robin did not appear dazed when she gazed upon her own skin. Nor did she feel that way when she saw Isaac's skin exposed and the light bounce off it.Β
This was all so strange. Though this made Robin think back to the murals. The women's dance, the men bringing her treasures, the throne...it all seemed to tell some sort of story. Yes, maybe all of this meant something more than just a simply folk tale. Robin began to jot down some notes before she faced Isaac.Β
"I...I think I may have a theory about this place. I think this was more than just a normal, um, throne room." Robin said at last, wanting to explain her view on what this room was to Isaac even if he seemed to be...avoiding direct eye contact.

"I'm... beginning to suspect the same thing." That word again. How he wished he could have had a better look at it in the tunnel. What did it mean? After what he had just felt in this chamber, he knew it was important. If his first guess was right, then it had something to do with "thief". It... was it a warning? A warning about a thief, a thief in this chamber.
He was starting to put together an idea that he didn't like.

godjacob In reply to Taxima [2017-11-25 09:11:13 +0000 UTC]
Robin finished her own reasoning, but in order to confirm anything she'd have to do some sort of test. Experiment even. If Robin's hunch was correct, it would requite more than just the glow of the crystal off one's skin to bring about the expression Isaac had.Β
The crystal, the allure of the woman, the movements. They all told a story, one Robin wanted to see had any legitimacy to it. Robin would turn to face Isaac.Β
"I know this is gonna sound strange, but I think I can test what these old natives could have been part of. It would be really important for the report if I could replicate what they might have been doing. Can...can you focus on me for this?" Robin would ask, this was rare as Robin normally would not indulge in imitation of previous culture during research trips. However, this was just so facinating, and there was just something urging her to try this. The Straw Hat could not explain it, but she knew she had to try it.

A test? Isaac never saw that kind of person in Nico Robin. She wanted to recreate what the murals had depicted. And going by that logic... was she planning to dance? This was all starting to sound very unusual, and again he began to wonder if the crystal's light and maybe radiation was affecting their minds. Considering what sort of spell just looking at Robin had done to him, the archeologist wasn't exactly ready to go back if it meant risking that he might lose his mind entirely.
But then, there was that part of him. Robin looked like nothing he'd ever seen before standing among the light. Like the most priceless treasure there to greet him. Some primal part of him wanted to look at her directly again, to just soak in every bit of what was being offered. In this debate, a third voice sprung up as a tiebreaker. He was as curious as she was. This was a people that previously, no record or mention of existed on his humble island. Where had they gone? Why were these ruins seemingly all that remained of them? What was life to them? The possibility of experiencing a fraction of that first hand proved all too tempting. Two out of three voices voted "aye"...
Shaking his head with his eyes squeezed shut, Isaac took a deep breath. "I'm going to regret this..." He muttered quietly to himself before turning to face Robin. His eyes were still closed at the moment. He didn't trust his tongue to work once he did look at her. "Alright, just- tell me when you're ready." Although a loud part of him was yelling what a horrible idea this was, as soon as his partner in this mission told him to, Isaac would open his eyes to witness what Robin had in store.

Robin gave a nod to this, a part of her mind screaming at her to stop this and that this entire thing was crazy. However, that part of Robin's mind was being drowned out by the growing desire to "experience" a custom of a lost people combined with...some inner desire caused her to toss her usual caution to the wind.Β
So once Isaac made his terms clear, Robin would nod as she would subtly begin to shift her body. Doing her best to follow the mural and get in the perfect starting position. Moving in a place where the light shinned brightest off her skin. Once Robin felt most comfortable, where she felt this greatest pulse of desire, she was ready...
"Okay, you may open your eyes. I am ready to begin." Robin said, her voice unconsciously shifting to a soothing, if almost seductive once as she spoke. Why? Robin could not tell you, but it did not matter.

Robin's tone of voice unnerved Isaac. She spoke softly most of the time, but this had a purpose to it, like she was trying to... entice him. It felt like she knew more than she was letting on, whether or not that was really the case. Regardless, they agreed to this. Nico Robin was a pirate and the Demon Child, but above all else, she was like him. This was about the past and what it could tell them today. Throwing caution to the wind, Isaac opened his eyes.
The effect was almost immediate, even if he knew it was coming. Everything about Robin stood out in his eyes, the rest of the world very unimportant in comparison. His eyes quickly locked onto Robin's subtle motions. Like her physical appearance, her motions were highlighted and enthralling beyond the norm.

Once Robin had seen Isaac's eyes open, it was clear Isaac already had an interest. And Robin had not even really started to dance, so the power of the crystal's light in combination with her own beauty was obvious.
Not that Robin worried about that, no she had memorized the movements and knew what to do...
Robin began to sway her hips in a sensual matter as she began to imitate the dance of the woman on the mural: what was clearly shown to be a harem-style belly dance. Robin had good memory and was able to match the movements illustrated by the woman in the mural perfectly as the light continued to shine off her alluring body while she continued these sensual movements.Β

When the dance truly began, it felt like the rest of the world spun out of existence. Isaac was drowning in Robin's motions as she followed the ancient dance. Every part of her figure was highlighted as she followed the steps. Swaying hips drew Isaac down, a sudden motion of the arm brought him to marvel at her slender and (likely) deadly hands, it seemed each step naturally drew its audience to a new part of the dancer's body. A bold kick from her long legs reminded Isaac how tall Robin actually was, like a goddess gazing down at those who would worship her.
Although her current clothing was more practical than anything, Isaac had some faint memories of the far more daring outfit he had seen her wear when they first met. While she continued to dance, that image overlaid with what he was watching now, as if he could see her bare stomach as her hips rolled again and again, the valley of cleavage when her arm motions thrust out her chest. What was real and what was his imagination were becoming harder to define, and Isaac was sparing less brainpower to discern the two by the second, captivated so fully by the display as he was.

godjacob In reply to Taxima [2017-12-01 03:41:58 +0000 UTC]
Robin did not take note of Isaac's expression, as she was focused on performing the dance as close to the mural's example as she could. Each movement, each action was done to the letter as Robin made effort to make her body even in her more "casual" attire as appealing as possible. At some point Robin had almost stopped thinking herself, getting lost to the movements as she began to perform them on instinct, as if she had done this all her life.Β
And this made Robin feel good. Robin was not sure if it was the dance itself, or the light soaking in her skin that had not been bounced off, but Robin just felt so relaxed. Yes, everything was wonderful. This was natural, it just felt nice. She was putting on a performance, and Isaac getting lost in it was just a show of what a wonderful one she was putting on.Β
Robin's movements began to bring her, subtly, closer to Isaac. As if on instant Robin wanted her body closer to Isaac so he could have a better look at her movements as the light reflected off her smooth skin.Β

If the dance repeated any steps, Isaac was completely unaware of it. Every motion felt like he was watching it for the first time. The one thing that seemed constant however were the rare moments Robin and Isaac made eye contact. Those stuck out in his mind when he'd otherwise be blinded by another motion of the beautiful woman in front of him. In some part of his mind, the eye contact made him believe this was all for him. This was all about archeology, about learning about the world's forgotten past, but it felt like Robin was giving Isaac some wonderful gift he couldn't express his gratefulness for. His addled mind was slow to respond to almost anything. For some reason Robin seemed to be getting bigger... It took far too long for him to realize she was moving closer to him with the dance. This spurred something in Isaac that wasn't there before. He had been content, joyed even, to stand there and watch the display. But now that he knew she was coming towards him, he suddenly realized how much he wanted to be closer to her. To bask in everything the crystal light was highlighting. His movement was unrefined. One might think he were completely drunk trying to stagger forward. Though as uncoordinated as his slow steps looked, they kept his head oddly still. He would let nothing hamper the sight in front of him, never dare to hamper the dance.

Robin, as she danced once she moved closer to him, could not help but smile as she watched Isaac, in admittedly rather uncoordinated fashion, move closer towards her. This gave Robin a sense of satisfaction that she could not explain. Perhaps it was the dedication she had to perfecting this imitation to replicate it to the best of her ability, perhaps it was the crystal's light influencing her actions or perhaps it was her own enjoyment of the movements that caused her satisfaction to grow.Β
It did not matter, that alone was clear.Β
Robin as she continued to dance before Isaac, her movements matching the murals more and more. Each step, each swing, each sensual movement became more and more alluring as the crystal's light continued to cause her beautiful skin to shine. Robin had moved just in front of Isaac at this point, just out of Isaac's reach as her own grin grew and she continued to dance in front of Isaac seemingly without a care in the world.

One might think they had stopped at the same time when they reached as far as they could go, Robin at the edge of her platform looking down at Isaac. It seemed whatever direction she took, Isaac was nearly dragged along for the right all so he could continue to watch the dance. At this angle, he was slightly looking up to see the display. Again it was fitting imagery, the figure of such importance standing above all. Looking up at this angle placed the mass of crystal on the ceiling behind Robin's head, giving the goddess of the mural a halo of enticing light.
There was no care now what this was all for. The shine of the gold was gone. The writing on the wall was forgotten. All Isaac saw, all Isaac was even aware of, was Nico Robin. The pirate dancing in front of him. Her eyes and smile burned into his mind, as if he were the only one there for her, the very reason this heavenly dance was given. A gift from an angel.
(Randomly, but I've been hooked on a song that just so happens to have a chorus that speaks to this moment. When interpreted through a pair of hypno-fanatics like us.
"Focus on me, I'll be all that they see.
I'll make them sway, no, can't run away
Now all eyes on me!"

(Oh, that's cool! In fact, I might just have to steal this...)Β
Robin's smile only grew as she continued her sensual dance, her skin radiating alluringly under the crystal's light. Robin felt more of her worries or questions of why she was doing this fade away. They were not important, nor did they matter. Robin was happy, enjoying the feel of the crystal's light as she continued to dance without care or worry. Free as her graceful movements indicated. And Isaac also seemed to enjoy it, for he had not taken his eyes off of her yet.
So if Robin enjoyed it, and Isaac enjoyed it why worry about anything? Why stop when the both of them were having quite the time. It was only logical to continue, Robin reassured herself. That same voice even urged her to begin to speak, why Robin could not explain but for whatever reason it just felt right.Β
"Focus on me, I'll be all that they see..."
"I'll make them sway, no, can't run away..."
"Now all eyes on me..."
Robin did not put much thought into the meaning behind her words, reasoning that indeed her movements were all Isaac could see and she simply encouraged Isaac to keep them on her and not divert them or "run away", or at least that's what the voice in her mind told Robin which was only gaining influence.Β

Whether Robin was trying to sing or merely speaking in rhyme, the words came to Isaac like a bell. Compared to before where he heard her words as if he were underwater, Robin speaking while this far into the dance was a clear to the archeologist as she was while everything else just disappeared around him. Where they an invitation? A command? All he knew was that whatever she asked, he would provide. She wanted his eyes on her, all eyes on her. Yes, everyone and anyone fortunate enough to witness this should dedicate their all to the performance.
Where Isaac of sound mind, he might have been alerted to Robin's gradual change. This wasn't like her. Little though their time together had been, a few days had told Isaac about Robin's character. This attention seeking display wasn't like her. At the end of the day, it didn't matter. Isaac's thoughts were completely useless to him. All he saw was Nico Robin dance. All he heard was Nico Robin speak. As far as he knew under this crystal light, the whole world consisted just of Nico Robin.

More and more, Robin began to get progressively into the dance. Any previous concerns over her attitude shift, over what she was doing and why she was doing it faded. It did not matter, as she began to believe what she was saying. The crystal's light, the dance movements became surprisingly "empowering" to Robin. With Isaac almost in a love struck daze, she felt a sense of power she never had before. So Robin continued her sensual dance, her skin shining brightly and the crystal's light adding to the allure of her already beautiful body as she continued to speak her...rather soothing and seductive incantation.
"Admire my body in full delight, as I dance under the crystal's light..."
"Any concerns you should dismiss, for I will guide you to total bliss..."
"Watch my body sway, you must obey..."

With Robin serving as Isaac's whole world, her commands were met with absolutely no resistance. He continued to openly gape and stare at her breathtaking dance. His mind was empty of any thoughts the archeologist might have had about how wrong everything had become. All he could feel was how wonderful he felt receiving this gift. Robin's final command had been timed just when the dance caused the two to have eye contact once again. Her beautiful, strong eyes burned into his mind when she commanded he obey. That instant resonated like nothing else in Isaac. There was a change. Call it something clicking, snapping, or cracking, but a major shift just happened within Isaac. All of his strength failed him in a heart beat. He was like a puppet held up by a single string, struggling to even stand if only he could keep his eyes on Robin's display. He had to watch her body sway. He must obey.
He must obey.
(Short, yes, but at this point the deed seems done.)

(I understand, not much more you could have done with this post. Good call.)
Robin would grin, seeing the clear submission in Isaac's eyes before she would complete the final step of the dance on the mural. Any previous reservations or concerns about what she was doing or why she was doing it had long passed. Without a word spoke, Robin would begin to dance her way back up towards the thrown, inviting Isaac to join her with a finger.Β
Robin, having not stopped her sensual dance, moved up the way to the thrown in the most alluring display yet....the core crystal's light shining brighter as she moved closer to it before she would make her seat on the throne. If everything the mural predicted came to pass, Isaac would assume a "natural" position...kneeling before Robin as she sat on the throne.Β

As his world swayed away, letting his eyes marvel at her hips, he caught the motion of Robin's finger. Addled though he was, Isaac had enough of a brain to recognize a nonverbal command, a command he must obey. Strength found its way back into his body as his legs moved with more coordination than he had before as he followed after Robin. Although his arms still hung uselessly at his sides, he walked as smoothly as he would normally. Perhaps more so as he avoided his usual clumsiness by easily walking across the rough crystal edge of the platform onto the flat surface. The world slowly grew brighter and nearly blinding in Isaac's mind as the glow about Robin's body became almost too much, though she remained in perfect clarity. Having finally reached the end, the dance came to its climax. As if some buried part of his mind was permitted to remind Isaac of the murals around him, he was aware of what came next. As Robin seated herself on the thrown, HER throne, all of the strength Isaac had been given fled him. His bare knees hit the platform with a soft pat. Isaac sat precisely where he was meant to be, at the foot of a goddess in physical form.

Robin could only smirk at this, little of her "original" personality left at this point. Seemed the crystal did more than just make her already desirable figure more alluring, but it had truly planted a new way of thinking into the Straw Hat pirate. Yes, this was no longer just about replicating a historical find...
This, this was power! Robin had never felt something like this in her entire life. The way Isaac had become so devoted to her, practically a puppet she could manipulate with a wave of her fingers, gave Robin this...this sick satisfaction. The regular Robin would have been disgusted act how she was currently acting, but that voice had only grown quieter. A new voice, with a seductive whisper encouraged Robin to continue this. That she deserved this, that Isaac was so devoted to her that he must love this state and there was nothing wrong with it.Β
However, as devoted as it was, it was not enough for...whatever force was guiding Robin's actions. No, Robin needed total, utter submission.Β
"Who am I?" Robin would ask, an indifferent expression on her face as it was a general enough question. Normally one would just answer "Nico Robin", but that is not what Robin wanted to hear. And in truth, the voice in her head assured her that Isaac would know who she was...or rather what she was to him at the moment.Β

In his eye, the glow off of Robin's form had become all consuming. Anything that wasn't Nico Robin seemed to be erased by that shine unless she directly interacted with it. As she sat on her deserved throne, her voice cut into his mind with a new command. A question to answer. This was the first command that required thought, which caused a change in Isaac. For once, he took his eyes off of Robin, if only for a moment. Though he still saw her long, seductive legs in front of him, his mind was else where. Who was she?
Had he still had a brain, the answer would be "Nico Robin". The "Demon Child" hunted by the World Government for seeking knowledge of the Blank Century, a member of the famed Straw Hat Pirates, a fellow archeologist. None of that was true now, or rather, it wasn't the only truth. How could he put into words what he saw her as now? The rest of the world was a void compared to her. Her perfect beauty, her generous gift of her dance, the sense of belonging he had kneeled before her. In the memories he was allowed access to once again, the murals forced their way back. "Ours" had been what the people of old called the woman of the mural. In their language, it meant she was the most important thing to their culture. Everything in these caves was to her... everything.
The answer came and Isaac brought his gaze up again to Robin's impassive face. His answer was hushed, almost reverent.
"You're everything to me."

The answer seemed to please Robin, whose satisfied if not seductive smirk only grew at what was Isaac's recognition. Yes, that is what this all was. Merely a recognition of how things should be. Robin felt such newfound power, confidence and radiance, which was a compliment to her usual charm and wit that Isaac admitting this further served to feed her ego. An ego generated by the crystal's light.Β
Not that Robin was aware of that at this mind, the voice in her head assuring her everything was fine.Β
"Indeed, just as it should be. After all, I am all you desire. You hinge on every word I say, your eyes are focused ob my body. Yes, I am all that matters, everything else is meaningless." Robin said, speaking with what was clearly words that were against who Robin was as a person on any level, but the voice of the real Robin had been all but silenced by this point.Β Β

There was quite clearly nothing Isaac could do in this situation but soak in the words of his everything. Robin listed off the facts about his absolute obsession with her as one might note that the sky is blue or the sea is cold. Of course his eyes were on her body. Virtually nothing else existed to his perception but her. A radiant goddess who deserved and demanded the full attention and devotion of all around her. Mayhap if Isaac had lingered longer in the cave, he could have received a warning about what he was lead into.
None of this would help matters now. Isaac was wholly unaware of anything other than Nico Robin and he felt only joy in such focused ignorance. Surrounded by gold and crystal, everything was right with the world so long as Robin told him it was.

Robin could only grin, or rather Robin's mind under the influence of the crystal one should say. The submission in Isaac was clear for all to see, as he very much looked like the end of those murals. At the feet of the goddess they loved so dear.Β
Yes, that's what she was now. She was no mere pirate, or even an archaeologist. No, she was a goddess. Someone whose beauty and charm deserved admiration, attention and above all us total obedience towards.Β
"Very good, now then I think to signify your renegotiation as to what I am towards you. I think it's only fitting you give me a...symbol of your submission." Robin said with a grin, not giving any details for what she had in mind. But rest assured, Robin had a grand vision in mind for what this could be.

It was strange how clearly the new "on/off switch" to Isaac's mind appeared since his enthrallment. When not acting directly on an order, he was perfectly happy with sitting there staring at Robin like she was all that mattered. When an order registered in his mind, life and clarity seemed to swing right back into his being. His everything demanded something to mark how much his prior statement was true. As to what though, she left that out. Did she want something of his offered? Was it an action he would perform. He didn't know, which meant he couldn't act on her command, and that wouldn't do. Isaac looked her in the eye to show all of his attention was to her and her task.
"Name it."

Robin would only smirk, and soon enough she held out her left foot in front of her. Placing said foot as the feet of his keeled position. Robin seemed rather excited for whatever she had in mind, as her entranced brain knew exactly what to do for Isaac to "prove" himself and his submission to her. Something the actual Robin would never consider.Β
"Simple. Kiss my foot..." Robin explained, a clear sign that the real Robin had been all but suppressed by this point. Such a cruel, humiliating act was something that the real Robin would be horrified to even suggest. And yet here she was now, asking of Isaac to do that as a means of showing his newfound loyalty to her.Β
No, asking would be incorrect. Demanding of it, even without a forceful tone it was clear this was less of request and more of an order.Β

When presented with Robin's practical boot in front of him, there was a delay in Isaac's action. Not that he was against granting his goddess' request, but because he was thinking of how to proceed. Did she want him to kiss her foot directly, meaning he would have to remove her boot and sock as well? Was he permitted to lay his hands on her in any way if not given express permission to? A simple action can have a hundred different ways to perform it, which was stalling Isaac from performing the command.
That would not do. Going for the most immediate steps, Isaac lowered his kneeling body down, planting his hands on either side of Robin's leg for stability. When he was low enough, Isaac placed a single kiss against the boot's toe. There wasn't much in the way of dirt or anything else to make the act unpleasant, not that it would have mattered. Isaac had done as commanded and shown fealty in an ancient way to who had become everything to him through the dance and crystal's light.

Robin would only smile at this, finding it amazing that Isaac would perform such an undignified act without question. Truly the power the crystal's light had over him was even greater than expected, something the normal Robin would have noted down the effect for research purposes. Not that Robin would have ever considered such an action.Β
But then Robin reminded herself, no, this was not the crystal's power. This was her power. Her beauty, her charm her dominance is what Isaac was had submitted to. The crystal's light was merely a tool to use, something that magnified her already alluring features. Least that was what this voice in her head that had been manipulation her actions insisted. None the less Robin turned to Isaac with a pleased grin.Β
"Good, very good...how does it feel to place your lips on the boot of your goddess?" Robin asked, the crystal's light having done more to alter her personality than anyone could have guessed. Including boosting her ego and self satisfaction.Β

Isaac had to right himself if he was going to properly address his goddess. That title burned into his mind once Robin used the word to describe herself. It made the most sense. A woman who represented everything he would ever love and care for could only be called such, radiating the heavenly light as she did. At her question, Isaac subconsciously pressed his lips together as if to catch the lingering feeling of kissing her boot before answering.
"It felt a little coarse. Your boots feel like you've had them for some time. At the end though I was... fulfilled. It felt right doing something for you, even something as simple as this."

godjacob In reply to Taxima [2017-12-21 08:25:12 +0000 UTC]
Robin would only smirk at this, the fact that Isaac admitted that her boots were coarse and yet in the same breath talked about how it gave him satisfaction doing the task, any task, for her only boosted her crystal-infused ego.Β
"Naturally, as both an archaeologist and a pirate I am always out an about so it only makes sense that I would wear these boots for a prolong period. However, since I've worn these boots for a good while it would also make sense that my feet would be tired within them. Wouldn't you agree?" Robin said, as she outlined that simple string of logic for Isaac. It was already clear that Isaac hung onto each and every word Robin said, so this simple mental image would naturally bring about a concern from him. After all, Robin's feet were probably sore, tired and sweaty being in those boots for so long. And Isaac cared about making Robin happy above all else.Β
Something Robin aimed to exploit.Β
