Description
She walked down the packed streets of Alexandria, the capital city of New Athens. The neon signs lit the way towards the docks, as even as this hour people went about their daily lives. Is was the melting pot of the CSCN (Confederacy of Sovereign Colonial Nations). Azen (Xenos), Terrans, even people from old Staevik Regions. It had everything from Augmented humans, walking around with a tail and a jutting out jaw and horns, making them look somewhat demonic, to a man walking with a lower half made of four cybernetic legs, like an ant or a spider. It was a hotbed for everything and anything. And everything and anything was something of her specialty."Did you hear about Armen Station???" Someone would say as she passed a noodle stand
"No, what happened?" the gruff response would be out of another man, groggily eating noddles after a late night monitoring the construction drones at a nearby plot
"Imperial Fleet dropped the thing from orbit! How have you not heard it's been on the news everywhere!"
"Working..."
She evesdropped slightly as she passed.
"The Tragedy of Armen Station was playing all over the news, and had been headlining all day! When our Navy showed up to respond to Armen's SOS, they found it gone and the fleet engaged the Imps! We're on the verge of war man!"
The Confederacy? At war with Xenon? It was something the Nationalist party had been preaching for years now, and this incident gave them the perfect excuse to rally support to join the Terrans. This wasn't the confederacy's fight though. She knew that. But not a lot of others would. She kept walking, as the freighters and yachts came into view. The glow of their engines illuminated the landing pads below as the ships would hover above and depart, rocketing towards the mesosphere. It was a pretty sight at night seeing them go. Like giant beasts coming to their nests, or leaving to hunt.
Her attention slowly turned back to where she was meant to go. It was a warhouse are just on the outskirts of the docks. A police sentinel stood there watching out, and stopping anyone from entering. It's attention shot to her as it spoke in a robotic tone
"Unauthorized Access. Please turn around now."
"Oh shut up.." She said as she passed it, walking into the alleyway, holding up a forged badge to it's Visual scanners.
The droid beeped slightly in response, before turning it's attention away from her. Further down there were 2 more guards. Human. Part of the 'proud and professional' Alexandrian P.D. Corrupt and underpaid was more like it.
"Murphy. Winston. I hear Federal has some pretty brand new hardsuits inside there. Mk. 23's?"
The lighter skinned officer looked over at her and nodded in response, tapping slightly on the door. "Whole shipment. A Lambert Freighter brought them in from Almec Industries."
"Good." She replied casually, approaching the door
"Hey. Hold up." Murphy replied, holing his hand out at her, stopping her in her tracks "Toll's gone up."
"Are you fucking kidding me? You guys did this same shit last week."
"And it's gone up again. We have to hid this shit from everyone else, least you can do is make it worth our goddamn while."
She reached into her jacket pocket slightly, removing a stack of bills "This is all I have on me... Take it."
"Dont mind if I do 'Miss Carlile' "
Miss Carlile was her alias on the fake ID she'd been using to con the droids into letting her into restricted areas. its worked for months now, so there's never been a need to continue changing.
The other guard quietly lit up a cigarette as his partner counted the bills.
"Well, you're free to have a look around. Take what you like."
"Can do.."

Scene from Alexandria, New Athens, August 15th, 2772
The CSCN has always boasted it's tolerance for all walks of life, having probably one of the most diverse populations of the 5 large Superpowers (CSCN, TF, AE/XE, SU, UCR). The boast democratic supremecy and some of the most freedom for it's citizens and member states. However,t his relaxed attitude has also caused one of it's more cancerous problems. The huge corruption that spreads throughout Federal confederate worlds. Whereas member states use their own rules and regulations, federal states are run by federal regulations. The worst kind. And the Capital and seat of the Confederate Senate is the worst offender. Political corruption is rampant, but perhaps the worst offender of them all is the military corruption. Numerous times, smugglers have used this to their advantage. Buying and stealing military equipment from the feds and selling them on the black market. Usually to Pirates in the end. to feed the Pirates 'rogue Nation' and aid in their defense.
Worst of all, the largest and most powerful political party in the confederacy, has corruption pouring from every pore in it's body, as they not only secretly support the Pirates growth, but contribute to it, by contracting the highly questionable mercenary organization 'Red Lotus' to assist the Pirates in their cause. The Nationalists have their own reasons for what they do however, and that will be resumed on a later date

Unamused RSC noises
Money hungry fools, willing to sell their souls and innocent lives for a 'big payout.' Little do they know that RSC knows.
