They ran to the rails to look over the edge marveling as the sky slowly began to turn Crimson. Thousands of ships, one by one began to float above the clouds, the thunder of a thousand engines echoing in the skies. The blue glow of the engines shining brightly as they ascended to the black void of space."What do you think it means?"
"Hm?"
"I mean... We haven't launched a fleet this size in hundreds of years..."
The officer didn't even turn, just stared straight into the skies, becoming more and more littered as a Destroyer lifts off right in front of them, rushing wind in knocking his Beret flying off into the wind.
"Sir?"
"...It means the war's started.."
"...."
"If there's a god out there... may he have mercy on us all.."

Really like the colors and composition on this piece. It reminds me a bit of old scifi pulp fiction covers, with its sense of 'impending'. A very good way to make a return to digital art (or at least, posting it in the gallery for us to see).

If the sergeant catches the officer in question, he will kindly and respectfully look at the rank, and realize he should just keep walking.
Yeah I can kinda see the cover sort of thing a little. Was another little pissy-bit doodle unfortunately. Haven't seriously attempted my hand with digital painting in a while.

Destroyers and below can fly within the atmosphere. Anything larger needs to be outside of it
