Nicely done; i love how you brought up the kaiju that were scrapped; well atleast garasharp was somewhat known. 
This is off topic, but
I actually thought of giving Gamera some fanmade allies. They go as follows: 
1. A purple Guiron that Gamera saved during a big battle with the larger green guiron. 
2. The young Garasharp hatchlings that follow wherever gamera goes.
3. A red ibis that breathes fire and was a common species found in Atlantis. He also shares a symbiotic relationship with Gamera
4. Little Gamera: A smaller Gamera that's actually a clone made to originally kill Gamera; but ended up being childlike and became an adopted son to our favorite turtle.
5. A giant mandrill that walks on its knuckles, and can shoot lasers off his colorful nose.
6. A zilla Jr like creature that breathes green fire, and is incredibly fast.
I've also came up with a villain 
MechaGamera: pretty self explanatory.
