Godzilla, also known as the King of the Monsters was once a ordinary dinosaur called Godzillasaurus until he was mutated by the radiation of the atomic bomb and began wreaking havoc in Japan in 1954 until he was finally destroyed by the Oxygen Destroyer.

Many years passed and another Godzilla shows up and unlike the first one, is less aggressive towards humanity but not that much. He will attack cities and cause general destruction but also battling other monsters he feels are a threat to him or to Earth. He'd basically serve as the lesser of two evils under certain circumstances. Godzilla will sometimes have other monsters as his allies.

Godzilla made his debut back in 1954 in Japan named "Gojira", where he took that country by storm and became a masterpiece of Japanese cinema. A couple years later in 1956, his first movie made its way into the western world and the film was altered to feature Raymond Burr, but regardless, the film still proved to be a phenomenon. Godzilla himself started out as a villain in the earlier films, but he eventually became a heroic monster throughout the majority of the Showa era. During both the Heisei and the Millennium eras, he became an anti-heroic character and is still is to this day.
