History:
Black City, Unova was always loud, always bustling with life. It was all Wren had ever known. He was born there, the son of a waitress and a mechanic, they were the sort of family that everyone just seemed to know. Not to mention his older brother had become something of a local baseball star. It meant that Wren had grown up with a spotlight on him, expectations set before he could barely speak, but they weren’t exactly smothering, per say. Stay out of trouble, get decent grades, smile pretty, everything would be fine.

He had never wanted to let his family down, and he looked up to his brother more than anyone else. When he was younger his older brother was the one watching him while their parents worked, cooked him dinner, helped him with homework, stuck up for him when the kids were rude to him. He was cool and admired, and to little Wren, he had been a hero. Then, as Wren entered his late teens, his brother had caught the attention of a few well known colleges, and the choice was clear, he had to go or else he would lose the chance to make it out there, which left Wren to his own devices. But, he was fine with that, happy for his brother! He had always wanted to see him succeed. However, the spotlight that had followed him his whole life changed. He was no longer expected to just be good, he was expected to be the best. Like his brother. And as happy as he was for him, he couldn’t help but resent how easily everything had seemed to come to him. He was a star, seemingly without much effort. And Wren would always be the shadow of that star.

He finished high school, nothing special, got a job as a mechanic with his father, which was fine. He didn’t mind cars. They were easy enough to understand. However, he couldn’t escape that shadow, small talk always led to him. “How is he?” “Shame you didn’t get into sports yourself.” “Always thought you would end up just like him the way you followed him around.” After a while… It had become too much weight to carry. He knew he wouldn’t be anything but the little brother unless he left. And as much as he wanted to be a mechanic, his heart was with his guitar. And exploring old abandoned buildings. And being a heartbreaker. Those just weren’t things he could do there, where his family name was on the line. So he left, packed a bag, his guitar, and his unused college fund, and he hopped on the first ship out of there. It was supposed to be his shot at becoming his own star. But that was before the rocky waves had sent him overboard...
