I don't know for sure that she's dead, and I think that's the worst part.Lulu was the first to be weaned out of her clutch, and she came home with me on December 24th, 2013 at 3 months old. Parrotlets can live to be up to 30, and so naturally I expected her to be with me for so much longer. I love her so much, and it hurts not to know what happened to her.
She was just hanging out in the bathroom, chirping away before going quiet, and when my parents went to check on her a few minutes later she was gone. We don't know if she got outside (she's flighted), if my dog grabbed her, if she fell and drowned in the toilet, if she's hidden away in some drawer, or any possible scenario that could come to mind. We do know, though, that she's missing; no where to be found, not responding to her name, with no body anywhere around.
But it's been 30º (f) or colder every day outside every day since she disappeared, and as far as we know she hasn't eaten anything, so it's easy to believe that she's gone. I can't believe what happened.

If you do turn up, god, I love you so much. If you don't, I'm so sorry.

I’m so sorry Kwin I know how you feel, I lost my bird too a couple of years ago. I know it seems like there’s no hope, and that you will never find her, but I believe that you will! Don’t give up, because wherever she is, she wants you to come find her, and take her home. And even if you don’t, even if she’s gone you know she’ll always be there with you, even if you can’t see her. But let’s hope she’s still out there! I know you can do it, Kwin, stay strong <3
