Physical Description: Elio is the lean and dark figure who dares to creep over the snow, the pure audacity of the act commanding respect. Her form is rather thin and sleek, and she strides with elegant and nimble paces. Her nose is thin and her ears pointed, with fur that curls gently under her chin. If one can get past her aloof personality and hostel aura, one may even be able to call her attractive. Her eyes are a sharp gold, ever watching the territory and land around her. Her body is still recovering from battle scars, some of the most notable being those on her ears, back of the leg, and above her eyebrow. Elio's voice is surprisingly warm and expressive, but is often edged with a harsher tone.
Skills: Elio is a sentry by trade. She’s quite skilled at patrolling, scouting, and patrolling, as well as dealing with small threats and alerting higher-ups of potential dangers.

Elio has undergone many changes in her life. From even the time she was a pup, she was observant, intelligent and careful. She felt neglected and alone and grew spiteful of many of her family members for disregarding any promise she had. At that time, her pack was stable, something the young wolf could devote herself to. High Mountain’s rigorous ways shaped her into an aloof and loyal character, her ambition to prove herself stronger than her desire to be benevolent.

Her aloof nature came with a cost: her social ability. At first a virtue, her independence, and ambition turned against her and makes it incredibly difficult for her to form bonds. She is distrustful of the wolves in her pack and slow to change. She rarely initiates friendly conversation, and when she tries it’s hardly exemplary. She may not be shy or clumsy with her words, but lament has a tendency to seep into her tone and turn conversations sour.

Recently, she has found herself lost. The loss of Cleardawn and her birth pack has made her question where she belongs, and she feels like something is missing. The once motivated, ambitious, dutiful Elio is now a drifter, wandering from one reach of her pack’s territory to another. Despite following her family, Odin, Amaya, to Talionis, she feels no connection to them, only bitterness. The destruction of Honovi was the destruction of her loyalty, and she is alone. Her unforgiving nature makes it hard to allow herself to change from her former ways and accept that Odin was an alpha who rose to the occasion to fill the void where his pack was destroyed.

For her whole life, she’s been a spiteful loner with motivations driven by malice. She’s realizing that she wants more than that now. She’s missing friends she’s never had, missing genuine loyalty and days where she can stop and rest without the feeling of unfulfilled duties. She knows she needs to change but doesn’t know where to start. Her wandering feet have returned to her from her puphood, and now she is looking for a purpose once again.

Pre-group History:

Blizzards were unforgiving in the peaks of High Mountain, the snow almost as cold as the pack’s members. Amaya had lived in High Mountain for nearly her entire life, and had done good work there as a hunter and a teacher. It was undeniably her home, and she felt great pride in her way of life. As she aged into an adult, she began to explore more of the parts of adulthood, including ranking up and meeting new wolves. The wolf most consequential to her was Ilta, a hunter from no pack just passing through. He stayed with High Mountain as long as they’d let a freeloader around, and Amaya hunted with a few times.

It was only after he left when she found she was pregnant with a litter of bastards. He never returned, leaving her with the strain and responsibility.
Six puppies were born with howling winds just outside. She worried that the storm was the consequence from High Mountain’s god Volos of taking a mate outside of the pack. Her litter was an impressive six puppies, but Amaya could only see them as mouths to feed. In the beginning, she tried her best to provide for them, but with a food shortage and no mate to watch them while she went out to take her place and hunt with her pack, it seemed as if no food was turning up for them. It became apparent that, for the safety of the litter as a whole, some would need to be favored over others. Her eldest, named Odin, caught her attention for multiple reasons: first and foremost, he was largest and strongest. She believed he could be a great and powerful hunter and he could make up for the wasted resources by helping his pack later on. He, along with Quamar, Cleon, and Eira, all were very promising. Two were not.

Elio, the only dark-furred pup in her litter, and the only female, was not favored. Amaya had heard of the struggles of dark-furred hunters over barren, snow-covered land-- they ruined hunts, always spotted before the pack could overtake the prey. In the mother’s eyes, Elio couldn’t be trained out of it, and she couldn’t be trained to work with it. She was already a liability all before she could even prove herself. Elio resented this treatment from the beginning-- this wolf believed she couldn’t serve her pack? Driven by spite and ambition, the young wolf dedicated herself to learning the rules of High Mountain and being the best and strongest she could be -- better than Odin. Through her youth, she pursued what skill she had: guarding the king’s domain. She was naturally observant, thus it was no surprise to see her following the path of Rook to look after the grounds and the territory. Most of her time was spent wandering alone and building up her nimble step.

Inigo was the other “reject” from their litter, the runt. In contrast to Elio, whose spite fueled her to be better imagined, he drew back from his family and became a chaotic force. The Solid Ice Trial Elio knelt down, bowing with all respect she had learned from the mountains, he simply did not show up. His audacity sparked upset in the High Mountain wolves, but they began to understand it as the typical acts of a little rat. Elio paid little attention to him, as he was only a distraction, but came to notice his cost when an engaged wolf came to punish him, only to find that he was missing. He took out this venom on the pup’s mother, for clearly, his ill-temper was her fault for training him poorly. One evening when Elio returned, she found her mother blinded. Her remaining brothers informed her that Inigo had upset an older wolf who sought him out to teach him a lesson, only to find that he had left their mother to take the blow. Elio never saw Inigo again, as he stayed away from the family before slipping away to the safety of Riverdale.

Elio was still bitter; torn. All she could think was that it was payback to Amaya herself for ignoring her pup. She moved on, though, as times changed and the three packs moved. Now, her pack was her only concern, and she cared little about the happenings in her family. Protecting Altaire’s domain was all she needed to do now.
