Tulio almost groaned in annoyance. The damn kid was crying again. Seriously, how many times can a baby cry? Why did this have to happen to him? Ugh, just, he just wants to sleep for Christ's sake.

He remained on his side, too tired to get up and too stubborn to do so. He heard Miguel yawn and get up. Tulio smirked. 'Yeah, you get up and take care of the kid. It was your idea to take care of him anyway.' Tulio thought.

Miguel smiled at the baby and gently picked him, shushing him. He rocked him slowly, trying to lull the baby boy back to sleep. The baby's tears finally stopped, but he was still whimpering. Miguel sighed, he wished they could of found a better place to sleep instead of the outdoors. The baby's probably cold or frightened.

"There there now, Eugene." Miguel whispered, putting the baby back down. He reached over for his mandolin. "I know just the thing to get you back to sleep, darling."

He tuned his mandolin, gave it a strum and started softly playing a tune. The baby stopped his whimpering and was calming down. Miguel began to softly sing.

The baby finally went to sleep and Miguel put his mandolin away. Tulio had to cover his mouth from saying anything. Damn it, why does his friend have to have such a big heart?
