Resting in their camp, Tulio and Miguel were on their backs on the hard dirt floor. Miguel was holding the small baby up, playing with him. The baby was giggling as Miguel laughed along. Tulio, on the other hand, was trying to think up a plan.

Unfortunately, they were running low in supplies and they needed to find a way to make more money. It's not really easy to try to con people when you're holding a baby as you throw loaded dice. Maybe if one of them goes into town as the other stays with the kid? But they usually do their cons together.

"Hey Tulio. Quit thinking so hard, you're going to hurt yourself, darling." Miguel said, smiling at Tulio as he laid the baby on his chest.

Tulio gave him a dry look and sarcastically laughed. Miguel chuckled and handed the baby over to Tulio. "Here, you play with Eugene. You need a break."

"And how is taking care of the baby exactly a "break", Miguel?" Tulio asked, grabbing the baby from Miguel.

Miguel shrugged. "Just play with him. He does enjoy your company."

Tulio looked at the baby, who stared back. His little hand patted Tulio's face and the baby giggled. Tulio tried to hide that smile but Miguel clearly saw it. He folded his hands on his chest as he watched Tulio hold the small baby.
