Kinda the validation/evidence for my journal.
I still think they're insanely shit. I do.
According to neechan though, on this "trainee" one I got a hip and face right out of a whole pic so...whoopee...
trust me; can't draw hands. Been through 3 tutorials--went over my head. MORON Right here!

See, I'd have thought that Squadrons cross randomly over each other's paths right, depending on where they're going or what's going on, right? What's to stop the old Storm Hawks meeting up with the Old/young Interceptors?
What's to Stop Starling and Ace just hanging out, NOT in the romantic sense, just...well Sparring Sky-Fu or talking-Christ why does everything have to be romantic?

Back on track here:
Here, we've got Starling--Young, enthusiastic, proud and polished: Ready for "Work Experience" with her credentials right out the academy at the ready--a perfect little trainee soldier.
We've also got Ace--Young, brash, tempermental and plucked straight from an overly broken home via his big brother, the original leader, Aerrow's dad: no previous experience, barely any prior ambition, just literally here with a CD player.

Bit of a Comparison shot, or as I like to call it "Whose more suited"--Starling is always willfully abiding by the Code of Conduct, neat, ambitious and out practicing in her free time, on her own with no instruction from her commanding officer, every single day. Ace on the other hand is quite lenient, lax in the discipline are and uses his free time as "Musical Moment"--hence the horribly drawn CD player there. Don't get me wrong! He's not bitter or reluctant in training...he just see's Starling as a bit of a rule enforcing psycho at times...then again "Interceptor"...could be taken either way context wise, eh?

But yeah: I hate this piece; they're horribly drawn, stoic, reppetettive poses. Eugh, don't get me started: That does NOT look like Starling! Why, I can't put my finger on! It's messy, I mean even 2 year olds can colour in the lines, unlike me! The shading is WAY off and not dark enough in ares I need (Damn colour pallette...) and I hate Ace's hand, hair, headphones and jeans.
Ace is SUPPOSED to be changing the track on his player; hence the badly drawn thumb there.
