As I watched the new trailer I was happy to see that Shadow is in there but I'm just worried at which side he's on. I don't mind if he's neutral but I sure hope he's not a bad guy. Shadow is my favorite.While watching the trailer I saw Sonic and Tails fighting Shadow. Which side are you on, Shadow?

If you don't already know I'll spoil it for you. Basically Shadow comes and saves them by kicking Lyric out of the place they were in and defeated him, and this is what happens after.

and I hope they didn't bring out and focus more on Shadow's dark side, Sure he was created to be evil originally, but they gave him his own game in which he's the hero so... Neutral? I hope so.

Yea but in this game it's an alternate universe, and an alternate series. Sega says nothing is canan to the Boom series from the Modern series and that they are not connected. Also that Boom will not replace Modern. But yea we don't know Shadow's origins in this game because it's an alternate universe.

I share your opinion for Shadow.
As for the reason behind why Sonic and Tails were fighting Shadow, he's one of the rivals you'll face, Metal Sonic being another one of who knows how many.
