This is a second attempt with the same reference photo, I made the first one about a year ago. I thought it would be a good test for me to see how much I improved as the reference photo is very challenging. This time I used A3 sized paper and worked on it for two weeks instead of one. A3 sized drawings take so much time and I'm still trying to find enough patience, but I figured that I should go for quality over quantity. I'm still amazed when I read that people spend 40-50 hours with the same drawing, the longest one I've done was probably not even 20 hours. But considering where I was at two years ago there's still a lot to learn. I'm very satisfied with this drawing and Laetitia Casta drawing I made a few months back. It's the type of work I'd like to master with time.

I tried to push very hard with 5B and 6B pencils to get the proper contrast. This was shot with a phone camera so I'll probably update it once I get a chance to scan it with an A3 sized scanner.
